D&D Movie/TV DADHAT becomes Netflix Global Hit

It's almost like increasing the accessibility and viewing options, instead of concocting contrived exercises in controlling your audience, actually opens up your show to more viewers. Weird.

D&D 5E (2024) PHB 2024 Is Hilariously Broken. Most OP of All Time?

The new edition of D&D is definitely another notch up on the power-creep ladder. Adding feats at first level, improving backgrounds, and allowing mix-and-match races all contribute to increased power levels. It's probably more powerful than any other version. I would prefer if it were more...

D&D 5E (2024) Magic Items & Crafting In The New Dungeon Master's Guide

This seems much more streamlined and sensible. Combined with the Bastion System, I think this could add a bit of dimension to Tier 2 and above.

D&D General Greyhawk to Faerun and Beyond: A Multiversal D&D Lore Book Is Coming This Fall

So why not make actual D&D stuff instead of coffee table books? It's not an either or choice.

D&D General Greyhawk to Faerun and Beyond: A Multiversal D&D Lore Book Is Coming This Fall

I'm not really sure who this book is for? It's not for DMs, there just isn't enough content. It's not for players because, why? So I guess that lifestyle brand crowd? It's not like I'm upset it exists or anything, but I'd really prefer they make more content focused on games being run.

D&D General Warlocks: Charisma vs Intelligence

At the end of the day, the concept of a Warlock is about some sort of a relationship with an external entity. This is Charisma in DnD.

    D&D General Greyhawk Humanocentricism?

Races no longer exist in DnD. They're all just skins on the same statblocks.

    D&D 5E (2024) Bastions in the 2024 DMs Guide

This is why we can't have nice things.

Which fantasy TRPGs do you think truly reflect the characteristics of firearms as Game Changers?

Traveller does a remarkably good job. It still has cutlasses, which are great if you don't want to breach a hull in space. But guns are the hamburger helper of combat.

    D&D 5E (2024) Bastions in the 2024 DMs Guide

I've been mulling over this new Bastions system, and I'm feeling pretty conflicted about it. The concept sounds cool on paper, but I've got some real concerns about how it'll actually work in play. I do like the general idea of players having their own base. It's a classic fantasy trope for a...

True. If you want to keep something secret... put it in the DMG.

    D&D 5E (2024) A Reintroduction to Greyhawk

I think people are belaboring the term default. It's the setting presented to new fans in the core book. So it will be initially the most prominent to those readers. Default isn't intended as a statement on quality, future direction, or setting rank. I'm just trying to express how prominent...

    D&D 5E (2024) A Reintroduction to Greyhawk

I agree. The tone is the thing I have the most reservations about. I like the OG sword and sorcery feel of Greyhawk and 2024 just doesn't support that. I'm able to keep that feel through tier 1, but by the time we're getting into tier 2, that's just gone.

    D&D 5E (2024) A Reintroduction to Greyhawk

I think that's a valid take. It's not mine though. Eladrin had a brief mention. Greyhawk has a full treatment. How this is seen will really be shapped by any new modules. If none of them use Greyhawk sure, if most of them do then it is the default.

    D&D 5E (2024) A Reintroduction to Greyhawk

I've felt that tonal contracts before myself. I was okay because: 1. I was like 14 when it came out, so I didn't care as much then. 2. I always felt like the Alice in Wonderland parts were fanciful asides and didn't take that serioues. I loved the political nature of Greyhawk, and this was a...

    D&D 5E (2024) A Reintroduction to Greyhawk

I'm not sure I can find that anywhere, they seem pretty explicit in as recent as the DMG overview video from the other day that Greyhawk is the intended place to start, Perkins talking about not wanting to throw new players right into creating their own setting so Greyhawk is what they have to...

    D&D 5E (2024) A Reintroduction to Greyhawk
