Yo Ho, Yo Ho, A Review Of The Wildsea

This one has been on my list for the art alone.

How Will The New Tariffs Affect TTRPG Prices?

According to them, it's a big chunk of their own softbound titles.https://trolllord.com/made-in-usa/ Speaking of, I suddenly feel like I might walk into a game store in the near future and feel like I stepped back in time with softbound covers coming back. As an industry, we've been doing...

How Will The New Tariffs Affect TTRPG Prices?

This is why I bit the bullet and had regular fulfillment for the original KS. I thought if I added any extra level of effort it would turn off too many people.

How Will The New Tariffs Affect TTRPG Prices?

Yep. POD discount links are great for the little guys If I could go back in time, I would have stuck to that solution. Even sending out a POD book with shipping outside the US was a gamble. Some of my books saw $1 profit. In talking with a friend about their upcoming KS, they are now promoting...

How Will The New Tariffs Affect TTRPG Prices?

I'm wrapping up the digital stretch goals for KS ($69,000). My chose DTRPGs POD option for those who wanted books. I was considering if I should follow up with an offset print run but I feel like I dodged a bullet. Until the clouds clear, I think I am sticking to POD. Seeing my book in a game...

How Will The New Tariffs Affect TTRPG Prices?

Troll Lord Games partially prints their softbound stock in-house. It seems they also outsource mostly to US vendors but then again, who knows where their vendor get supplies. Back when they only did softcovers, the company said they built their own print shop because the couldn't get the...

Paksworld RPG Based On Elizabeth Moon's Novels

While I knew authors were more open to ttrpg adaptations now, I am still surprised how many of them are full on ttrpg gamers and are now just as likely to write a rulebook themselves.

RPG Print News – Necrotic Gnome, Loke Battle Maps, and More

It is spiral bound, I have a few of them as it is not a deal breaker for me. Especially the convenience of taking the mid-sized ones to conventions outweighs the immersion break. I have seen a few map books that have a binding instead, but unless you using the maps in the middle of the book...

RPG Evolution: Clear Gaming Paper Tiles

Just in case I missed this being a joke, the "air holes" are to mark where the intersections on a grid would be. This way you get the benefit of a grid on a gridless map or you just ignore if your map's got grids already.

RPG Evolution: Clear Gaming Paper Tiles

Depends on your TV. I used one and after a few hours we were sweating and baking in our game room.

RPG Evolution: Clear Gaming Paper Tiles

Oh, yeah! One of the promo pics has the tiles overlaying an aerial picture for a modern game. That is sweet.

The Gaming Paper guys. I don't use their products often but I do salute them for coming with great ideas.

Spend Some Adventure Time In The Land Of Eem

The art looks great and I am little surprised meeples haven't caught on more for ttrpg minis.

Shadowdark Setting Looks Set To Be 2025's First Million Dollar TTRPG Crowdfunder

I want to do the digital pledge, but I am waiting on the shipping on another KS. That particular KS company said they won't charge supporters but tariffs will impact the retail prices afterwards. Makes it a challenge to get new people onboard when the prices go up. 😭

Nice! I like this apparent tradition they have set up where make a demo focused adventure for Free RPG play and conventions and then about a year later they release it as a free adventure.

Shadowdark Setting Looks Set To Be 2025's First Million Dollar TTRPG Crowdfunder

What trumps Dragonbane over Shadowdark for me is also more about the players at my table. I have one player whose comment about every "Heat water for tea" spell becomes, "We are 80% 'water.'" He's also like a dog with a bone about such things. I don't mind Shadowdark's two sentence spell...

Shadowdark Setting Looks Set To Be 2025's First Million Dollar TTRPG Crowdfunder

A bit adjacent to this is something I seen a few OSR fans (not OSR designers) speak out loud. They felt like they kept the torch burning during the "dark times" (which might be 5e or go all the way back to 3e) and thought they would be seen as mentors, teacher, or even as esteemed geek among...

Shadowdark Setting Looks Set To Be 2025's First Million Dollar TTRPG Crowdfunder

That's sad as I follow OSR youtube tastemakers like Questing Beast and Dungeon Masterpiece and they spoke highly of it. (Including De Ropp standing on his chair during Shadowdark's awards win. :ROFLMAO: ) At this point, I avoid OSR social media, especially as the posts recycle the same four or...
