D&D 5E (2014) Scroll of Protection and Ranged Weapons

Sounds like a variation of the magic circle spell to me. That spell (and protection from evil) prevents certain effects (eg, fear or charm) and imposes disadvantage on attack rolls (eg, arrows or polearms). https://5thsrd.org/spellcasting/spells/magic_circle/

    What's your age group?

My delusion that I'm still 30 is old enough to vote.

My Comic & Game store got broken into and burgled.

Ugh, getting burgled sucks. Glad to hear it's not an existential crisis, though, and even better that it's just the first time in thirty years. Good luck getting it all sorted.

D&D General Need help finding a specific dungeon/adventure/module

That doesn't immediately ring a bell, but have you checked Adventure Lookup? It's a repository of adventures with descriptions, monster, types, edition, etc. It's searchable by all kinds of different parameters, helpful if you can recall a particular boss monster, terrain type, or other...

A drink by any other name

I think inventing a word is great, since you make it pretty clear in your example what it is. It's helpful worldbuilding, imo, especially if the fictitious words are used somewhat sparingly, and are mostly limited to things that are important to the story or culture. I suppose it can be helpful...

Geek Confessional Thread 2024 [NOW 2025!]

I don't think it's the pop culture aspect of D&D/gaming that vexes me nowadays, so much as the professionalizion of it. (I might feel better about it if I was playing more regularly, though.) Gaming is social. I'm pretty unsociable. This is very frustrating sometimes. I've never seen any...

The "I Didn't Comment in Another Thread" Thread

It might not have been any crap at all; some people just feel the need to move on and sever from what's now and past in favor of something different. Sometimes it's healthy, often times not. You never know. People are weird.

WotC How to I find my claimed content on dndbeyond?

Mine is the same: just a static table, no links. I think the difference is the "Transactions" section (as highlighted by Nikosandros, and I assume is purchases) versus the "Licenses" section (which seems to be the freebies).

To be fair, it looks like OP hasn't logged in since posting. It is Easter weekend, so he might just be busy.

Maybe the group would get more positive results using a GM emulator system? There are a handful of such products available.

    Should Magic Spells/Powers be Interruptible?

Interrupting spells is a pretty basic trope of fantasy, so generally speaking, yes. But the details really depend on the specifics of the game mechanics and the setting.

D&D General OAR 7: Dark Tower

Will have to make a "Bend Bars/Lift Books" roll to heave it up onto the shelf.
