Well... I will say after looking over it briefly, the character builder has improved since beta, particularly in regards to equipping your character. I already have an OP subscription, but am suitably curious about the campaign manager portion of D&D Beyond. Has anyone messed around with it...

$2.99 or even $5.99 is not going to break the bank. If it does for you, then maybe question your life choices. Seems very reasonable to me.

Have they improved the interface yet? Buying and equipping items for example is easier with pen and paper based on my last experience with the beta (couple of weeks ago). I found myself missing the old 4e character builder.

I'm lucky to live in the Seattle area which is home to several nice, welcoming game stores such as Cafe Mox (2 locations) and Zulu's Board Game Cafe. Huge variety of board, card, and RPG games... but for all of them, Magic is their bread & butter.

In my experience, if it wasn't for MTG, most game and comic book stores would be shuttered. I think the sales of booster packs and snacks are what keep most of these places afloat.

If anyone from WoTC is paying attention... please take note. I will purchase a hardcover book collecting all of the MTG/D&D crossover material. Add maps. Consolidate the bestiary. Please make it so. I'm sure I am not alone.
