D&D General Amazon's 'Secret Level' Animated D&D Episode Featuring Tiamat

Concord... AAA gaming's biggest flop (so far) of 2024. Seems like a solid choice. As for the D&D episode? Hell yeah, can't wait!

Brandon Sanderson's Stormlight Archive TTRPG Makes $1M In Under An Hour

This is a giant reminder to me that I really need to get started with Way of Kings. I've read the Mistborn Trilogy, Warbreaker (my favorite so far), Tress of the Emerald Sea, Yumi and the Nightmare Painters... but I am still lost as far as the greater Cosmere goes.

A Peek at Quests from the Infinite Staircase

This. However, "modern" religions shouldn't be touched at all in D&D in my opinion unless it takes place in your homebrew world. I always found the inclusion of Hindu deities in Deities & Demigods to be a strange, and likely offensive choice for example.

A Peek at Quests from the Infinite Staircase

They need to do some work on the FR then. Tyr, Loviatar, and Mielikki are all deities from real earth cultures (though now long defunct). Tiamat is another one as well as the names of many of the arch devils, demon lords, etc. I wonder how far they plan to go with this? Does this also mean that...

A Peek at Quests from the Infinite Staircase

Definitely. I'm more curious about Pharaoh than any of the other adventures in this book - got it preordered and can't wait to see what they've done with it.

A Peek at Quests from the Infinite Staircase

Am assuming Amun-Re was changed to Amun Sa because Amun-Re is literally one of the principal ancient Egyptian deities.

A Peek at Quests from the Infinite Staircase

Do we know what might have been removed and/or tweaked? Pharaoh (and the two follow up modules) are among my favorites in the history of the game. I have a soft spot for the Ancient Egyptian vibe and mythos as a whole, and love the kind of pulp feel it had. Am assuming maybe they worked on the...

D&D 5E (2024) New Dungeon Master's Guide Cover Features Venger (From the D&D Cartoons)

Only generic if you don't know who they are right?

D&D 5E (2024) New Dungeon Master's Guide Cover Features Venger (From the D&D Cartoons)

I guess the truth is - and this is not hard to believe - that you all were just cooler than I was as a kid. Not a difficult achievement believe me!

D&D 5E (2024) New Dungeon Master's Guide Cover Features Venger (From the D&D Cartoons)

My opinion - this is entirely based on your age (physically or mentally) when you were first exposed to it. I was 11, so definitely the target demographic. That's why it resonates so much with me anyway. Yes... watching it again as an adult, it doesn't really hold up as well, but that's just the...

D&D 5E (2024) New Dungeon Master's Guide Cover Features Venger (From the D&D Cartoons)

Love this cover... hits me right in the nostalgia. Dungeon Master BETTER have a full page spread in there though!

D&D General 5E-Powered Adventure Time Joins Million Dollar TTRPG Kickstarter Club

And yet Hogwart's Legacy was one of the best selling games of 2023. There's no doubt a HP RPG would make a TON of money.

    D&D 5E (2024) More D&D 2024 Tidbits: Aasimar, Goliaths, Town-Eating Gelatinous Cubes

I hope they categorize the Monster Manual like it has been in the past rather than what they did with Monsters of the Multiverse. For example having demon and devil as a heading and then all of the associated monsters as sub-entries. Really hated that change in MotM... made it way harder to find...

D&D General D&D Red Box: Who Is The Warrior?

I'm just kind of amazed this warranted 34 pages of comments. The Paladin in Hell mini (s) look awesome by the way... I may have to shell out some $$$ for that.

D&D 5E (2014) D&D Beyond: No More À La Carte Purchases But US Customers Can Buy Physical Books

Same. In fact up until they did pushed this garbage through, I had several ala carte items in my cart at D&D Beyond ready to be purchased. I am not going to purchase a trash supplement like Hogwarts... excuse me Strixhaven... but I do want some of the creatures, magic items, etc. There's no way...

D&D 5E (2014) D&D Beyond: No More À La Carte Purchases But US Customers Can Buy Physical Books

Literally the worst thing that has happened to D&D Beyond since WotC acquired it. Terrible decision.
