    Willow - Official Teaser Trailer

That ended surprisingly well. Willow escaped the curse of the 'fantastic penultimate episode'.

    D&D Movie/TV Paramount+ Orders 8-episode D&D TV Show

Hasbro is doing a bad thing vs. Paramount has Star Trek. I wish it was close, but it's not. Engage!

Ray Winninger comments on the OGL

Oh they could certainly put Roll20 and similar services out of business. But I'm not sure what that gains WotC. I doubt the 5e players on Roll20 are going to appreciate being forced onto One D&D's VTT, even if their Roll20 digital purchases are ported over. My group would probably switch to...

Ray Winninger comments on the OGL

I agree that WotC can make D&D less convenient to play than it is now. But they can't delete content from the physical books I own, shut down VTTs that don't integrate the rules (or doing anything at all to groups playing via tools like Discord and Zoom), silence people who are talking on...

Ray Winninger comments on the OGL

I understand emotions are running high right now, but how can WotC stop us from playing the way we want?

    D&D Movie/TV Paramount+ Orders 8-episode D&D TV Show

Why can't John Rodgers be involved in this?!! On the plus side, Paramount's Halo series wasn't half bad.

D&D Beyond Twitter Account says OGL will be addressed soon

Well I hope the mountain-sized amount of terrible publicity they just got does some good.

Has anyone cancelled their D&D Beyond subscription as a protests over the OGL?

I don’t have a paid sub and the 5e campaign I play in uses Beyond, so no. To add some perspective, I doubt more than one or two of the ten people in that game have any idea what’s happening with the new OGL (or what the OGL is, for that matter).

D&D General Are you jumping ship? What will you be switching to?

I‘m not jumping ship, per se. But my group did discuss playing a mini-campaign while I work out Part Two of our current 5e epic. We were thinking of using PbtA (Spirit of ‘77) to run ”Rollercops”, where every PC belongs to an ill-fated trial squad of roller-skating police in Venice Beach...

    Willow - Official Teaser Trailer

He’s a famous old sports broadcaster & journalist in the US. Which made Bettany’s Chaucer perfect, since A Knight’s Tale is a contemporary sports movie in medieval drag.

    Willow - Official Teaser Trailer

It’s a very clever film. But that kind of deliberate anachronism rubs some people the wrong way.

    Willow - Official Teaser Trailer

Modern music ruined the movie where Geoffrey Chaucer is basically Howard Cosell?

Barbie movie teaser trailer is out

Well that looks pleasantly insane. "Greta's Gerwig and Noah Baumbach's new Barbie movie comes out next summer" is an amazing sentence to say our loud and then realize it's really true.

NEWS; Gunning down the Snyderverse UPDATE Cavill gets the Kryptonite handshake!

I’m going to pour a sip out — into my mouth — for the Snyderverse. Those films were good at the things the MCU movies were not. A patently ridiculous grandeur. Some comic book movies should have that.

WotC Hasbro Bets Big on D&D

I understand the concern, but in the case of D&D, don’t we make a lot of the content?

WotC Hasbro Bets Big on D&D

I was prepared to rail against 'subscribing to D&D'... ... until I remembered I upgraded my Roll20 account to the first paid tier, so I already do. I'll be back as soon as I update my diatribe to railing against 'being forced to subscribe to D&D through WotC'. (which is actually somewhat of a...

Avatar 2: Way of Water ... the PRE-POLL (Are you interested?)

I’m going to see it. In 3D. Once. Like I did the first one. Visual spectacle is fine by me as long as it’s spectacular enough. I’m a lifelong reader of fantasy & science fiction. I’m used to the story not being good (but dragons and spacecraft being amazing). If I feel like my intelligence...
