    D&D 5E (2024) New stealth rules.

That is an INCREDIBLE way/method of defining/putting an example of the non magical version/take of the Invisible condition. Especially in a non-standard way.

If it's magically enough, it will be effected.

    D&D 5E (2024) New stealth rules.

Would that still count if your rogue/stealth person was standing next to some kind of concealment? Is it assumed that the concealment still counts unless the guard manages to succeed on an Search action or if the passive Perception was high enough to be the Stealth DC number rolled by the...

Shadowdark: How Essential is the Dungeon?

Now this makes me wonder how Shadowdark plays with no Torch mechanic OR dungeons. Especially if you click the Pulp Mode toggle on. I wouldn't mind trying it out, although I know I'd have to get the 3 cursed scrolls (classes yo) as well as Unnatural Selections.

OSE's official alternate Thief skills to good?

Ugh, I'm not exactly fond of that.

    D&D 5E (2024) New stealth rules.

Crazy scenario thinking, what if, despite all the arguing, back and frothing, and whatever, these gencon books were rushed out versions of the 2024 and they realize "Wait, you sent WHICH VERSION TO PRINT FOR THE GENCON COPIES!?!?" And we get the clarified version for the September 17th copies...

    D&D 5E (2024) New stealth rules.

Adventures in Middle-Earth 5E did something similar where it allowed Hobbit characters to get a Virtue(feat) or spend an Inspiration to like legit hide behind things, INCLUDING creatures, races, and what not that were taller than em. And then they could pop out somewhere random later.

    D&D 5E (2024) New stealth rules.

I argue the halfing/gnome rogue wold be able to use the height of pillars, unaware guards, And Bushes to their advantage.

D&D 5E (2024) Current Stealth Rule Actually Works As Is. If Moving Out of Cover After Hiding Makes Enemies Immediately "Finds You", Hide Would Be Totally UNUSABLE.

I never said that it was your real problem. WoTC isnt helping with making things clearer for the new PHB, which was supposed to be one of the major design goals for the revised version of 5E.

D&D 5E (2024) Current Stealth Rule Actually Works As Is. If Moving Out of Cover After Hiding Makes Enemies Immediately "Finds You", Hide Would Be Totally UNUSABLE.

Having an issue with the misnaming/changing of the title of something isn't rude. There are multiple parts of the whole thing that contributes to the entire issue. And if people break down the parts to multiple sections, that's a valid critique. Especially when the mental image of "Hidden" and...

OSE's official alternate Thief skills to good?

I get it. I prefer it as the first digit going up instead of the second number. But once you put six points in a skill, how does that work in adjusting it? Or would it just legit stop at 1-5/5-6?

    D&D 5E (2024) New stealth rules.

Real talk though, I think WoTC insistence in making a number of things as "Conditions" for 2024 is probably one of the bases for the issues we are seeing. Would things be different if they didn't do that? Maybe, maybe not. But, I feel like SOME KIND of seedling was planted there leading to all...

    D&D 5E (2024) New stealth rules.

Years from now, when historians and scholars have discussions on what led to the downfall of 5E and the closure of ENworld, they will all agree in unison: It was the 2024 Stealth rules.
