    FAQ and True Polymorph

That's not the way I read the FAQ guidance. Specifically, look at where it talks about Reincarnate. Being reincarnated into some other race doesn't preclude you from progressing in classes you had before, so I don't see why True Polymorph would.

List of existing teleportation circles in FR cities?

Just FYI, there is now some guidance in how to handle teleportation circles in the FAQ. It doesn't actually help much about this question, but I figured people might be interested: http://www.dmsguild.com/product/208178/DD-Adventurers-League-Players-Pack&affiliate_id=925821

List of existing teleportation circles in FR cities?

I am totally going to have any Wizard character of mine who makes it to Waterdeep swing by and preemptively memorize that sequence...

    Dedicated DM questions

No, you don't need to claim it immediately. You can bank the award and assign it to a character whenever you want to. Once you assign it to a character you need to pick out an item, and it has to be an item you've awarded prior to the point you assign the award. So you can run your 24 hours to...

What does your collection of AL characters look like?

I think you're overstating the problem somewhat here. In my experience most AL games run with full tables (at least at conventions), in that situation there's probably more than one person to buff, help out of a jam, etc. On top of that, perhaps a larger problem than "not giving the various...

List of existing teleportation circles in FR cities?

Honestly, teleportation circles are basically useless outside of ongoing campaigns, which for AL basically means the hardcover adventures. If you're playing in a regular game of one of those you should ask your DM for some useful locations, they should be able to provide them. For example, in...

What does your collection of AL characters look like?

The story is "I get to actually play higher level games that I'd otherwise never have a high enough level for" ;-)

A Few More Tidbits About D&D Beyond From The Developer

That is absolutely 100% true, but I don't trust that compendium to live forever. I want to be able to play this game after WotC and every single one of their partners has decided it's no longer cost effective to keep the servers running and any local application would require 3 or 4 levels of...

What does your collection of AL characters look like?

It can certainly do that if taken to extremes, or if you don't have some sort of concrete reason that the multiclass contributes to the character concept. Fighter plus enough Rogue to be able to sneak around effectively still plays mostly like a Fighter with some fancy tricks. Fighter and Rogue...

What does your collection of AL characters look like?

One of the new characters I took for a spin for the first time at TotalCon was explicitly created to pull me out of my comfort zone. He's a Lawful Evil Zhentarim Mountain Dwarf Barbarian Battlerager. I had literally never played an evil character, a member of the Zhentarim, a dwarf or a...

What does your collection of AL characters look like?

Just curious, but how many AL characters do people have lying around? Any interesting patterns in classes/levels/races/etc? I'll start. I've got 8 playable characters right now, although one is just a pile of DM rewards that hasn't actually been in a game yet. 4 of them are Tier 1 characters at...

    DM Quest Reward Items

Sadly, you cannot. You didn't give out a rare sun blade, you gave out a specific legendary sun blade named Dawnbringer. The item you get from Dedicated DM (or from the various quests that give you an item that you handed out in a game, like Herald of the Storm King) only work for the specific...

Future of the current Adventure League

Just FYI, getting all those awards requires DMing both Tier 3 and Tier 4 adventures, which means you must already be DMing for players with characters who are far beyond the level you'd like the DM to be able to get their character to. It also requires checking off all the boxes, something that...

Future of the current Adventure League

Honestly, I get that the idea of someone being able to cheat and it being impossible to tell for sure is disconcerting to people, but I really think if you pay attention to the actual people who are doing such things you'll find that there are other issues that also make them a pain in the neck...

Future of the current Adventure League

Ironically, I'm actually in favor of changes to encourage spending of more item rewards on a PC... Right now, for people who don't have enormous piles of Dedicated DM rewards (i.e. occasional DMs like myself, I've earned 2 Dedicated DM rewards over the course of my time DMing) you're heavily...

Future of the current Adventure League

Umm, items without a rarity are not legal for Dedicated DM. If you're seeing people assign a Sun Blade to a tier 1 PC they're cheating, full stop. As for opening the floodgates, CCC content is all reviewed by AL admins. They approve the items that go into them, just like they do the regular...

Future of the current Adventure League

Please. If the only reason for DMing was for the quests nobody would DM. The quests aren't that good. Personally, I have limited time available to play AL games. I enjoy DMing, so I would like to DM. I also would like to someday have some characters that actually progress beyond the beginning of...

Future of the current Adventure League

Mine are typically used to either start a character above level 1 (usually 3 if I want to play tier 1 or 4+catch up to 5 if I want to play tier 2) or to skip ahead to the next level when I'm pretty close to leveling up. The Dedicated DM and other Magic Item type rewards go towards items that I...
