    Post-TotalCon AL Review

Yeah, I found that feeding the party hints about the location that scout might be going was basically required to make sure they got past the investigation stage and into the final confrontation. Once they found that things progressed rapidly ;-)

Future of the current Adventure League

I honestly don't know what you mean by "unbalancing" here. DM Quests are the only thing that helps to close the gap between the amount of XP you get from playing the game and the amount you get from DMing. Similarly, they let you maintain characters who are reasonably equipped with magic items...

    Post-TotalCon AL Review

The session of Bad Business that I played in had a 8 INT Dragonborn Fighter who had Greater Defender of Parnast. He took that to mean he should take advantage of everyone in town's hospitality, which led to him stumbling upon much of the mystery. Naturally, he proceeded to be lead investigator...

Future of the current Adventure League

I'm actually less concerned about this short season and more concerned about the idea of Al content being more tightly integrated with the HCs (which will presumably swing back towards the idea of a single long story, as opposed to a pile of smaller dungeons). Honestly, season 5 really works...

Future of the current Adventure League

That is extremely disappointing. The HC adventures already exist, people can run them already and don't need additional content to enjoy them. For those of us who cannot commit to a months long weekly campaign it was nice to have something smaller. The fact that AL isn't interested in providing...

Future of the current Adventure League

See, here we are again where the messaging gets weird. You previously said that this season's adventures would have multiple two part adventures written by the same author, but if these 6 adventures (3 epics and 3 non-epics) are all we're getting then I assume that's no longer a thing? That's...

    Post-TotalCon AL Review

I just finished a sleep deprived 4 days at TotalCon (a local con in MA with a bunch of AL content) and figured I'd give you all some impressions of the stuff I played in and ran. Some of it's already existing content, some of it isn't out yet and we were either the premiere or a regional early...

Future of the current Adventure League

THIS IS THE SORT OF THING YOU MIGHT WANT TO MAKE CLEAR IN ANNOUNCEMENTS. Sorry for the shouting, but seriously. Since you posted the announcement of the initial set of TftYP AL content on Facebook (and it only contained 3 non-epics and 3 epics) I've heard both "There's more content coming!" and...

    Fai Chen recon

Wow, that's not cheap! The ones that were available at CarnageCon were 500gp. Still worth it though, I mean how can you go wrong with FLYING CATS!

    Winter Fantasy Roll Call

Insert obligatory "there's some guidance on high level spells from the admins that's supposed to come out real soon now, wouldn't it be cool if it had some advice on dealing with stuff like this?" comment here.

    Paperless AL Play

I know many people who use online log sheets and electronic character sheets of one form or another for AL games. One thing you might want to do though is print out a copy before conventions. You don't want to be unable to play because your phone ran out of battery life or your network...

    Winter Fantasy Roll Call

What did people think of Parnast Under Siege? I just got my copy for a con later this month and it looks super cool, just curious if anyone who played or ran it had any particular thoughts about how it works in practice.

DM Rewards & DM Quests (Clarifications)

Yes, you can apply it to any character you want, including a new one. Skipping early levels is one of the most common things DMs do with their rewards in my experience.

    Fai Chen recon

I don't recall wand of the war mage or rod of the pact keeper being stock items, but who knows? As for the one trade thing, it's one trade per person period. The "gently used" thing just means that you're allowed to trade non-certed items for them, that's the only difference in policy that I'm...

    Fai Chen recon

Note that scrolls also give Wizards a good way to grab stuff for their spellbooks that are not in their usual PHB+1 sources. So if you're a wizard and your +1 is SCAG you can buy a scroll with a spell from the Elemental Evil Player's Companion.

    Fai Chen recon

In my experience Fai Chen is typically limited to Uncommon and Rare items, I don't recall seeing any Very Rare or Legendary things, but then again I wasn't trying to trade those so I wasn't looking too close the last times I was at a Fantastical Faire. I also don't have any idea what his current...

Staff of Defense from LMOP - can it be traded?

I'm pretty sure those items can be traded using the rarity that was printed on the certs, so you'd trade it as a rare. It gets listed in people's available items periodically on the AL Magic Item Trading facebook group, so I think it's pretty safe to trade.

DM Rewards & DM Quests (Clarifications)

You just log them on your character's adventure log like you would with a normal adventure.

Question about Epics - planning on attending my first

It's still considered the same module, so you can only play it once, even if you're in a higher tier now.

Have You played In An Official D&D Adventurer's League Event?

The Tressym cert was part of the A Great Upheaval launch event adventure, it was intended to be something special for in-store play only, as I understand it. Other than that, WotC appears to have been moving away from certs for stuff in the hardcover adventures. They still exist for the one-shot...
