    Player's Options: Speculation

Erm, I guess I need to brush up on my RPG terms. That's not what I meant by core, I don't think. I thought "Player's Options: Heroes of Shadow" wasn't part of Essentials, but some people have linked them as if it is part of it. I thought it was just going to be another "normal" book, outside...

    Tabletop Aggro

That guard action sounds really cool. I'm really anticipating the sneak peak of the knight on Friday. I want to see if Essentials continues using the same marking mechanic, or if they make it easier.

Help with D&D 4e Webcomic Wanted!

=) Thanks. And thanks to everyone here. I understand that you're trying to help, and I'm not giving up, just looking at things a little more realistically. It will definitely remain as a side project for when I have the time and inspiration. For now, though, I'm going to focus on writing...

    D&D Novels

Why do you suggest to read books 4-6 before 1-3? Is the Dark Elf Trilogy a set of prequels, ala Star Wars? Also, is there other official fiction besides Drizzt and the yet to be published ones?

Help with D&D 4e Webcomic Wanted!

I guess I did jump the gun a bit. It seems like it would be really cool in my mind, but you're right, I don't know if I could stick to it. I think it'd be better for me to work on the project I'm currently working on so I can make that really good...

    Player's Options: Speculation

Hold on...is Heroes of Shadow part of Essentials? I've been hearing a lot of connection between the two, but I was under the impression that Heroes of Shadow was another core product, like the PHs and Power books.

Friendly bump because I'm really itching to play!

Dark Sun: Weapon Breakage Rules, Can They Be Better?

I think the rule should only matter much at low levels, when magic weapons are scarse. I think it's silly that a magic weapon can break, even if it is made of poor material. Magic weapons should ignore that rule. So, you should only worry about it at low levels, when you don't have magic items...

    D&D Novels

If I wanted to start reading the official D&D novels, such as R. A. Salvatore's novels and the soon to be Abyssal Plague novella, and I've never read any D&D stories before, where should I start?

    Hybrid Class Names

Bah, easy?! I need the challenge! =) I chose Medic because it has a martial feel to it (Warlord) and is tied to technology (Artificer). It's just my personal preferance, but I'm open to deliberation.

    Player's Options: Speculation

They have to make more shadow classes. They can't have just one. If they never made the assassin, they could maybe get away with making shadow builds for other classes. But they did, so now they have to make more.

    Hybrid Class Names

Some from the other thread: Ardent|Shaman = Medium Barbarian|Fighter = Berserker Invoker|Warlock = Channeler (here you go, mneme! =) And one I thought of: Assassin|Barbarian = Reaper (fear him)

    Hybrid Class Names

Thanks! It's really fun so far. How does this sound: Artificer|Warlord = Medic I think Cleric|Shaman would make something like a medicine man, but I can't think of a good single word! I can't break my one-word vow... =P

I used Slayer for Avenger|Barbarian and Executioner for Assassin|Barbarian. I like the sound of Cutthroath though. Consider it changed.

    Hybrid Class Names

Assassin|Rogue = Murderer Avenger|Barbarian = Slayer Druid|Ranger = Hunter Psion|Shaman = Soothsayer Psion|Wizard = Sage Ranger|Rogue = Corsair Rogue|Warlord = Brigand No matter which way you order the two classes, the new class is the same thing. An Assassin|Monk is potentially the same as a...

    Hybrid Class Names

Sorry, it stays. T) Cantor has no Jewish reference. It is simply the latin word for sing, and is therefore used by many churches to refer to their singers. As someone who's never played 3.5, I don't see any real meaning in that word other than part of the name of a prestige class in another...

    Legomania!

I've done the same thing with Star Wars, and one of my D&D players uses a lego mini alongside the metal ones. Of course, that means he's super tall compared to them...but he's a dragonborn, so it's okay. =)
