    Super Speed Attack!

Well, one came out after the other, so it wouldn't have been hard to have Robilar's Gambit refer to Karmic Strike in its rules text... the books have been published in a chronological sequence, after all, and quite a few do refer to stuff that's not in the core three, but in other supplements...

    Super Speed Attack!

The relationship between Speed weapons and Haste, as well as Improved Critical and Keen weapons, are different cases in my book. Both explicitly spell out that they are NOT cumulative, unlike what is the case with Robilar's Gambit in combination with Karmic Strike and/or Defensive Throw. BTW...

    Super Speed Attack!

Considered by the build's creator, Caelic. I can imagine the argument to be something like this: attacking a guy who uses Robilar's creates an opportunity for that guy. Hitting a guy who uses Karmic Strike creates an opportunity for that guy. Missing a guy who uses Defensive Throw lets that guy...

    Super Speed Attack!

Not my build btw, but I'm reasonably sure that Karmic Strike and Robilar's Gambit are considered to generate two separate 'opportunities' (for the purpose of making an AoO) at the same time. Similarly, if the opponent misses, Robilar's Gambit and Defensive Throw both kick in and generate one...

    Super Speed Attack!

If you don't want to go into theoretical optimization territory, you might want to have a look at this guy called Jack B. Quick. You don't do a whole lot of attacking yourself, on your own turn - but if anybody is foolish enough to attack you, he's getting hit up to six times in return. Fun...

Making the chaos planes more... chaotic

You might want to look at the description for the Limbo plane in the Great Wheel cosmology, some good stuff there (Manual of the Planes has this but is a really obscure book by this point, maybe the less obscure Planar Handbook has some ideas for you as well). Basically, the plane is in a...

A strange question about wielding a big sword

And whyever should there be a penalty for such minute an adjustment? Ever tried holding something in both hands (say, a broom), then letting go with one hand, then putting that hand to work again? If not, try it. See, that wasn't so hard, was it? Maybe just a free action after all...

What Exactly Is the Issue With the Shadowcaster and the Truenamer Classes?

Moving on to the Shadowcaster: Even without fixes of any kind, this class is quite playable, more so at high levels than low. I'd rate them as tier 5 at first, but moving up to tier 4 at 5th level, and to tier 3 at 7th level. They're probably not on par with Beguilers (which are tier 2 in my...

    Familiar Improvements

For a grafted familiar, look into the Fleshwarper PrC (which isn't half bad in other regards, although a little...twisted). Grafting your familiar with some massively beneficial options is one of the scaling class features of that one. Be sure to pick up Improved Familiar first, though.

Faithless world, is it possible at low-levels

Modern life is really the only possible parallel you can hope to understand well enough to DM. Close to all cultures that came before were pretty much focused on religious matters a lot. "Dark Ages" (a term I despise) usually refers to the early to high middle ages, a period whose culture was...

Pathfinder 1E Fireball and Improved Cover

Actually, it does. Fireball has the area-of-effect type "spread", so it indeed does turn corners. You measure spread distance from the spell's point of origin, though, so corners effectively make the area of effect a bit smaller, but all in all, spread spells are quite useful for this property...

Pathfinder 1E I think our party's sorcerer just got overpowered...what do you think?

OP, your Sorcerer player is blatantly being a munchkin. "Not enough high-level slots", especially referring to Sorcerers, is ridiculous. Maybe it's time to conserve a slot from time to time? Maybe he's not allowed to just burn everything with his most powerful spells for a reason? Sorcerers get...

    That Sucks!

Well, there's Repulsion, which can easily be flavored that way, and the similar Repel Wood and Repel Metal, and Antilife Shell. All of those work by pushing people or things out - however, you could call it sucking instead of pushing (there's actually no mechanical difference) and leave it at that.

Pathfinder 1E Paladin Weapon Bond for two weapons

So you're basically saying: "you made a suboptimal choice for flavor reasons, and now I'm going to tax you further if you want similar bonuses to what you'd get automatically if you had chosen different." Huh? I don't agree. A houserule in the player's favor here will not take control away from...

    Character Problem

Even 26 Cha and 32 AC don't strike me as much overpowered. 26 Cha lets him cast his single known 3rd level Sorcerer spell 5 times/day, big deal. His save DCs are hampered by the fact that he's casting 2nd and 3rd level spells while the enemies he's supposed to fight are scaled to save against...

    Character Problem

An important consideration concerning the "powergaming" issue: from a pure optimization standpoint, this character sucks. I mean it sucks black-hole-hard. At 12th effective character level, this PC will be a Half-Vampire Sorcerer 4/Cleric 3/True Necromancer 3. This lets him cast as a 6th level...

    Character Problem

I think Vow of Poverty was a good basic idea taken to grossly, hilariously insane extremes in completely the wrong (game system) environment. Some designer noticed how powerful characters in D&D are very gear-dependent, and didn't like that. So he invented a feat that was intended to do away...

    Pathfinder 1E Hints welcome

As usual, there's a handbook for that. "That" being the major changes from 3.5 to Pathfinder. A very useful read.

Non-standard rewards for DMs to use

Very nice ideas, keep them coming, guys! More stuff I've been using: A fighter PC in an early 3.0 campaign I ran had a matched pair of intelligent swords. These rarely spoke to him, but when they did, it was mostly to point him towards what they most wanted to kill. He quite faithfully did...
