3PP Release New Release: The Pod Person Plague

I honestly thought this was about the real world pod plague - all the people who are too lazy or don’t know how to write, and instead record themself talking into a mic, hour after hour after painful hour, and expect the rest of humanity to listen to their endless rambling, when all we want is a...

How do you handle jewelry and valuable art as a GM?

The part of GM prep I enjoy the most is the development of fun, nuanced and multilayered NPCs, and their organic evolution during the campaign. Our campaigns are always heavy on roleplaying, conspiraces and webs of intrigue where well developed NPCs are a foundation. I have total buy-in from my...

How do you handle jewelry and valuable art as a GM?

I have a degree on the side in art history, and would love to geek deep into the subject as GM. My players though are uncultivated barbarians, so I just handwave and move on 😂

What Do You Call This Popular Beverage?

Being Swedish, calling it soda invokes US black and white movies from the 50ies. But what do I know, I don’t even drink the stuff, Coca Cola or other brands and tastes.

    D&D 5E (2024) Who has sign language?

Didn’t the Thieves Cant in AD&D include sign components?

D&D 5E (2024) Wizards of the Coast promises to release more “CRPGs that are going to be as serious as BG3” without Larian

I think this would be great, something like Diablo Immortal - a game that is an open, unashamed cashgrab first and foremost. Not that it’s good for consumers and gamers, but it would please Hasbro shareholders, and that’s what matter most right?

D&D General Prep is Not Play. . . Or is it?

Prep isn’t play. I see it as a craft in itself with the purpose of creating optimal conditions for max fun during play sessions, and constantly molding and remolding campaign frames, based on both player actions in play and my own ideas to give the campaing openings and directions to twist and...

You should read (or listen) to Dungeon Crawler Carl

I can enjoy old D&D novels, Black Library stuff etc, but LitRPG like DCC is utter crap imho. It’s like ordering an elaborate chocolate dessert, but what you get on the plate is white sugar and unrefined cocoa beans.

    GMs: When Is Enough Enough?

This very much. I’m not interested in oneshots and shorter stuff.

What is/are your most recent TTRPG purchase(s)?

A few of my players really love Warhammers Old World lore and grimdarkness. So do I, but to me WFRP 4e has too many quirks and clunky mechanics. Anyway, I’ve decided to cave in and have started to prep a sandboxy WFRP campaign with some underlying Slannesh cult stuff. We play via Foundy so the...

    Video Games You Wish Existed

I wish there was a gigantic first person fantasy rpg that had the exact level of playstyles, feel, difficulty (not very) and necessary level of twitch and stress (not much unless you build for it) of Cyberpunk 2077. I love first person games in theory, but usually give up cause of...

Do you buy new versions of TTRPG games when you haven't had time to play the older version sitting on your shelf?

The interesting thing is that I’m pretty resilient and adverse when it comes to overconsumption in general, but choose not to be for rpgs and electric basses. It’s not a part of my behaviour that I like.

For those who don't play D&D (or its clones), what keeps you engaged with EN World?

Besides some OSR stuff I don’t play D&D anymore, but I do play other systems. But I do a quick visit almost daily, mostly for news and keeping in touch with major debacles, but also because I find it entertaining to read about what a specific small but vocal and very opinionated group currently...

What videogames are you playing in 2025?

It’s taxing if one want to nerd out build synergies and detailed system math. But I too am old and have taken the easy road - playing on normal difficulty and following a descently fresh build guide. Theres still some challenge (for me) and I can just have fun in this very good take on 40k...

How Much Do You Care About Form Factor/Book Size?

Form factor is definitely something that can heighten my enjoyment of an RPG book with good content. That is true even for pdf format.

D&D General Sandbox and/or/vs Linear campaigns

I always smile when people talk about and approach roleplaying games like an engineering project.

Computer games and the save checkpoint system

This is a wierd case of cherry picking. I did also state further below that save points can be a part of genre convention, such as Nintendo style arcade games. Now, if Nintendostyle arcade games has a place in the modern world is up for debate ;-)
