Are they "people"? Or are only humanoids "people" the way the DMG presents it? Tangentially, How does the MM grouping Aasimar, Dragonborn, Dwarf, Elf, Gnome, Goliath Halfling, Human, Orc, Tiefling all by occupation fit with the logic of the rest of the MM?

I like that distinction. The Violet Fungus Necrohulk has a 7 Int, 14 Wis, and 10 Cha, when does something become more than a fungal hazard? (Even if that isn't, it is special in that it comes form a fungal hazard and so I can see listing it there). I guess I am still back in my 1e MM mode...

Shrieker, Gas Spore and Violet Fungus are all grouped, but not with Myconids. And iirc the Violet Fungus has two types under Fungus.

That just seemed an odd reason to me not to list them the same way the other dragons were in the index, that's all.

A gas spore and Shrieker feel a bit different too me too :-) As an aside, given that Violet fungi were with them too, I was kind of pleasantly surprised myconids got separated out.

What is the logic of Gas Spore and Shrieker being under Fungus (that is "Gas Spore Fungus" and "Shrieker Fungus") and all the Mephits from Dust to Steam all being under Mephit, but the dragons and giants and naga separated by type? And why are the age categories for Shadow and Faerie Dragon...

For the Tarrasque, what is the best distance besides magical missile weapons (magic long bow or whatnot)?

Was surprised the the PF 1e Tarrasque damage also wasn't great (although the bite had a much expanded crit range). The reach was a lot bigger though (30 ft, with 60ft for tail).
