I have seen complete dreg on TV and it is the (fill in the TV show here)--Better now?

wow. My wife and I thought it was a refreshing, light-hearted homage to all those variety shows that millions of Americans grew up with. It was done very well. They used some of the same gags, updated a bit, and have tons of shows to recycle bits from. Why is comedy and music something that you...

    RIP ST:TNG Movies

I'd like to make a request/challenge of anyone who's said that they liked Nemesis: go to http://www.stardestroyer.net/Nemesis/Pictorial.html and try to debunk any of the comments listed there. Because I just don't understand how any movie that has THAT many HUGE plot problems can possibly be...

What is your favorite Indiana Jones movie?

I'm baffled as to how anyone could possibly choose Crusade over Raiders. Anyone care to fill me in? Crusade was a derivative, tired mess compared to the original.

    Witch Hunter Robin

Since my more explanatory post was gobbled up, I'll just say that I was very unimpressed with Witch Hunter Robin (the 3 episodes I saw before giving up on it). It was incredibly slow, uninteresting, and there were long scenes which lent nothing perceptively significant to the story.

    Dungeons and Dragons 2

Duh. :) It's all part of the "victimized gamer" approach many like to take.

Who was your favorite character in the D&D cartoon?

Tiamat was just too cool for the 80's. :) But come to think of it, I think Dechion the Skeleton Warrior I liked more.

    Experience

Is this game seriously over? After months of prep, it doesn't even last but a few weeks? If that's so, and this is the die-hard group of PbP'ers, this example paints a dire picture for the viability of long-term PbP gaming. :(

What is your favorite Matrix film?

It's scary that as of now, 21 people have voted for something OTHER than the original film.

    Who's in Charge?

well, to put it another way, it's not too good. And you used 3 feats for it. Not very good bang for the buck in power gaming circles.

    stunning attack alternatives?

You want the book "Beyond Monks". Trust me. It has a lot of good options for exactly what you're looking for.

Advice? - First D&D with sons, ages 5 and 3

Great story. I can't imagine my 3 year old roleplaying yet. But he'd be into a computer-based RPG probably. ;)

The most gratuitous "I am evil" scenes...

Is that the movie where Evil Ed says "The First Rule of Vampirism is : You Do Not Talk About Vampirism."

RotK won the Oscars, but which of the LotR movies is really the best?

I can see why many people voted FotR, but as has been said, it's much easier to set up than to pay off. RotK was quite simply - the best conclusion to a trilogy of movies ever made. Therefore, RotK is the best of the 3, because it's the much rarer film.

    Hidalgo

thanks for the reply. I checked close, and the guy that fell into the quicksand didn't look like the falcon guy. I easily was confused at that point, and could have missed it. And I'm pretty sure the guy who helped him out of the trap was a pretty bald, random guy who just appeared out of the...

    New D&D Movie Announced

The Black Cauldron (85, if memory serves) was one of the first films to use CG. And Young Sherlock Holmes (year?) used CGI for the knight that jumps out of the stained glass window. I'm interested in a sequel to D&D. ANY heroic adventure movie is worth seeing to me, especially in the fantasy...

    Hidalgo

Whoa. Hidalgo is one of only 2 movies that my intelligence as a moviegoer felt like it got slapped around by the inane crap they chose to hobble the movie with. The other was Armaggedon. Yes, Hidalgo's plot is that bad and unbelievable, though the genre is much better, and it's easier...

    The New Batman Movie

 Bale is "unknown"?!?! uhh... my wife, many of her friends, and the 13 DVD's we have of his movies will beg to differ. I would agree if you said "not a Big Name", but an "unknown"? No. For his first role alone (Empire of the Sun) he would not be an unknown. He was the STAR of a...
