    Enchanted Castles!

Rogue you may consider yourself spared. Castellan has already pointed you to the correct reference in answer to your question.

    Enchanted Castles!

Haven't you been paying attention? Castles can't be Enchanted.

Do you use the Psionics Handbook in your game?

Never used Psionics and never felt a need too, at least not in a heroic fantasy setting. I can't see what they will add to the game other than an other set of spells and rules to get your head round. I think my money could be better spent than buying the Psionics Handbook. That's not to say...

    About the voting booth...

Its not a complete mockery, after all "Pop Idol" allowed for multiple votes. Mind you it cost you money for each vote.

    About the voting booth...

I found that from my works PC I could vote as many times as I liked from the same machine without even having to log out, just click on the vote button. Its definiately busted. I think it would be much better to have a group of judges make the final choice.

    The writers of the competition

Well from what I've seen of the poll I know you are able to vote multiple times. Perhaps it is because the of the firewall I'm behind but I didn't even need to move PC to be able to vote more than once.

Rules Lawyers, how do you deal with them?

    Why not make them DM?

Two last comments on Sean's rant

That's three people now that have said the rant is reasonable. I thought the whole point about rants was that they are unreasonable.

    The writers of the competition

I've read two that were "clearly inferior" to the rest and I have only looked at the first group so far. On the other hand I've picked out a couple of gems that I particularly liked for originality and ease of use. Many of the others I could see myself using as well. So either you've written a...

Rant: Your best friend is a munchkin!

You sure this isn't a troll not a rant? Can't say our group has a problem with Powergamers either. That's not to say people in our group don't powergame on occasions, just that when they do it doesn't cause a problem.

    [OT] 3d graphics software

I believe 3D Studio Max comes in at the bargin price of around £3166 pounds which is probably a little more than most people want to spend on something to draw the odd map for a hobby.

    The writers of the competition

You have to judge fairly in a competition, if you let some person include more ideas or flavour text because they used a smaller font, or part of an extra page, then you are not being fair to a person that may have cut a good idea for the sake of following the terms of the competition.

    The writers of the competition

With 69 entries to judge I personally I'm going to be pretty harsh, if you go over what's required then you won't be getting my vote. You have to narrow down the field somehow.

A different model of adventure writing?

Ah but in Cthuhlu you don't usually know of the danger at the start and once you discover it you are usually the only thing between it and its plans to over-come the world / eat your family / eat you / etc. So hiding your head in the sand only means it will bite on your rump first, much better...

Seriously, what's so great about a class-less system?

Okay so I used metagame concepts to discribe the arcane / divine spells, it doesn't remove the problem to think of it in none metagame terms. If you do say "the priest diety gives him access to fire spells" and multiclass to sorcerer to represent this, even if he only picks fire spells form the...

Seriously, what's so great about a class-less system?

To give you an example of the sort of problems that a class system like D&D can't handle (at least not without a whole lot of house rules and designing a new class) but most classless systems can. Say you want to play a priest, who has access to divine spells but is not a war-like character and...

UN Peackeeper? If the treaty between the elves and dwarves has a name how about relating it to that? "Keeper/Protector/Warden/Guardian/Defender of the Covenant/Treaty/Peace/Oath/Pact/"

Purchasing RPG product, Retail or Online?

Ain't those parole requirements a pain? My local shop is through the Mersey tunnel £2.40 round trip not including parking. I tend only to visit it if I'm going into Liverpool anyway. I've ordered stuff online on a number of occasions but usually only if the local shop can't get it.
