    Best 5th party member?

Druid (3.5) - ultra versatile: great support character, best non-PrC 3.5 shapechanger, the fighter/cleric/wizard/rogue outfit lacks an outdoor character which the druid provides, decent to good melee fighter, great for creative players

Your Game: Roleplay Heavy, or Combat Heavy

when GMing D&D/d20: combat 70% / roleplaying 30% when GMing anything else (75% of my games use GURPS, the rest uses UA2e, BESM, or D&D3.5): combat 35% / roleplaying 65%

looks like it will be Dawnforge for me :)

All Dwarf Party - Add a character (also, Barb Dwarf Movement disussion)

I second the ranger idea: specialize in TWF and throwing axes, take aberrations, magical beasts, and drow as FEs.

Scarred Lands 3.5 product questions--summon the sage!

I own almost all SL products and see no problem at all with 3.5 - the CC revised is a revised version of the original CC which appeared in stores even before MM 3.0. CCr includes 3.5 updates on all player races for the SL, including gnolls, charduni dwarfs and those catpeople from Termana...

How many settings do you own (vs how many you actually use)?

Greyhawk (gazetteer only) Scarred Lands (almost everything) Oriental Adventures Midnight (everything) I use none of them (I've learned the hard way that I hate GMing d20 games) - but I'm working on a GURPS Midnight conversion, and soon I'll may get to play in a SL campaign.

Scarred Lands Midnight - your players will love it, they just don't know it yet.

What are you reading -- for fun and inspiration?

right now I'm surrounded by over 3000 books - but for roleplaying inspiration I'd recommend: - Steven Erikson's The Malazan Book of the Fallen (the best fantasy I've ever read, better even than GRRM) - George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire - everything by Tim Powers - Glen Cook's...

Eberron -- What do you LIKE?

the art looks nice - but art means nothing to me when it comes to a decision between different settings.

WotC setting search winner - Eberron

it sounds like the result of a computer program or some sort of comitee: Jurassic Park + Harry Potter + semi-Anime design + orcs, elfs, dwarfs, and gnomes + Treasure Planet Yep, truly original stuff...

[WOTC Setting Search] Do you want to play in a Swashbuckling Steampunk setting?

I love steampunk - but I hate steampunk+fantasy: I want Verne, Wells, and Haggard. I want alternate history steampunk, I want strange psionic powers, Verne cannons, etherships, Tesla weaponry, and planetary romance on Venus and Mars - I definetly don't want steampunk D&D (though I find steampunk...

    Campaign setting recommendations

my favorites: Midnight = dark Tolkien, evil empire, rare but powerful magic, covenant (leveling) items, cool version of "classic" races, heroic paths, magic system that is a great and simple fix to the standard "fire & forget" D&D magic, lots of places for your own creativity, you'll need only...
