D&D General Why Were the Dragon and Dungeon Magazines Discontinued?

I would still be subscribing to a 5e version of Dragon and Dungeon. Especially Dungeon. The 3e version was awesome. Even the 4e version was good a lot of the time - though hard to read casually before I had a satisfactory iPad.

D&D General Greyhawk to Faerun and Beyond: A Multiversal D&D Lore Book Is Coming This Fall

Same size and cover layout. It looks great on a quick flip-through! (I’ve tried to upload a pic, but just couldn’t get enworld to accept it.)

    Eric Noah's 3rd Edition Website

I was checking Eric Noah’s page multiple times daily in the pre-3e era. We were really tired of 2e, and the simplicity of 3e’s core sounded very exciting! I faithfully compiled Eric’s playtest/preview leaks into an ever-evolving document, and added in the “Start Playing 3e Now” bits from Dragon...

D&D 5E (2024) The New DM Tools In The New Dungeon Master's Guide

I read the AD&D DMG cover to cover… 40 years ago. I don’t remember much of it now.

D&D General Multiple Officially Licensed Dungeons & Dragons Accessories Announced

The beholder dice are quite appealing to me, depending on price.

D&D General Multiple Officially Licensed Dungeons & Dragons Accessories Announced

My 12 yo son absolutely loves these type of books. (As I was at his age,…) He skews older academically, but he shows no desire to put away childish things. Yet. 🤞

D&D 5E (2024) Greyhawk- New Map, Discussion of Changes

It’s a shame Gale Force 9 isn’t printing official D&D maps any more. I’ve loved the ones I got from them, but the Beadle stuff contains a lot of useless (to me) junk that drives the price well beyond my level of interest.

    Unpopular Geek Media Opinions

Well, look at that. The title “Geek Confessional Thread” was off putting enough* that I never looked to see what lay beyond it. *: IMO.

Please don't say 'Hit the Fat'

King Osdann (regarding that Slaine RPG and the Invulnerable-King module.)

Nope. No idea at all. Fake mythology. Unrelated: I’m usually terribly put off by Celtic mythology at the very get-go by the names, like Crom-Cruache, Carnun, or Cu Cuthulain (not a correct recollection of that recently-mentioned hero’s name) because I find it extremely difficult to distinguish...

    Dragon Reflections #81

In the course of my work, I have looked up lead levels in milk. (It’s usually negligible, but varies with parental exposure.)

    Spoilers Doctor Who 2024 (spoilers)

Have they really said that for all of Ncuti’s eventual tenure? That would be pretty bold. And welcome.

D&D General When We Were Wizards: Review of the Completed Podcast!

Great observations, humble minion. I came into D&D in 1981, but I largely agree with your perspectives on both the Gygax and the Williams eras. For me, both eras have one thing in common: Each was a glorious mess. Each produced both wonderful visionary works, and also a flood of lousy...

TSR The Full & Glorious History of NuTSR

In the late 80’s in Wisconsin, the first/primary brand of ATM’s was “Tyme”. Their machines bore the slogan “Tyme is Money” So everyone in Wisconsin called ATM’s “Time Machines.” Which resulted in verry strange looks from non-locals whenever someone casually said anything like: “I need to...

WotC Greg Tito On Leaving WotC: 'It feels good to do something that doesn't just line the pockets of *****'

Tito's now working for the office that oversees elections for the State of Washington. The 'focus of ire' he'll face there will be greater. 😢
