one home-brew rule from Sly that I really like is with allowing spell casters to cast again until they actually get the spell off; I do believe there should be failure with casting magic as it really lends to the tone of the game. Also like the max HP at level 1.

yep, mature contents doesn't have to be exclusive to fantasy genre. A D&D tv show can appeal to a wide audience but marketing I could see them wanting it to be kid friendly.

I agree it would have to be good balance between humor and drama; BG3 would be a great place to start for tone but with a little more of the lightheartedness of honor among thieves. Oh, and it must include giants, big hill giants!

I hope so!! The dream must never die, even if you have to take a gig doing a reality tv show to pay the bills.
