D&D 3.x 3.5 Lifedrinker (With some major changes!)

With improved necrotic reserve, anytime a lifedrinker would be forced into gaseous form (from reaching 0 hitpoints), or exposed to things that would kill it (sunlight, water etc.) it loses 5 lifewell points instead. Any time it takes more damage or continues to be exposed it loses another 5...

D&D 3.x 3.5 Lifedrinker (With some major changes!)

Clarification! You are, of course, correct. Fixing the ability itself is easy, I just have to add the following under the Improved Necrotic Reserve ability (which I did above): (If you don't have access, or you don't use Libris Mortis then use the following rule instead: Whenever a Lifedrinker...

D&D 3.x 3.5 Lifedrinker (With some major changes!)

Hey! So I was looking through the Book of Vile Darkness when I came upon the Lifedrinker PrC. I remembered that I liked the idea and that it was originally from Dragon Magazine #288 (well, I knew it was from Dragon I had to look up which issue...:D). However, as I read through the class, I...

    Creating Rock Dragons.

There is an amphibian subtype?! Anyway, I'm good for the Cold subtype and either the Aquatic subtype or waterbreathing, if they are equal to each other. This sounds, to me at least, like the Slate Dragon should have a swim speed. Perhaps a very high one since we're heading in a...

    Creating Rock Dragons.

Fine by me! 4 HD sounds good. It even makes a bit of thematic sense that Rock-based Dragons be physically tougher comparatively to other types of Dragons.

    Creating Rock Dragons.

Wait! Wait! If the secondary breath weapon of the Slate Dragon is going to have a sonic theme (based on nails down a chalkboard), then maybe we want it to disorientate or stun victims. I hope I'm not backtracking too much, I just thought I should put that out there. As for the pecking order...

    Creating Rock Dragons.

More Ideas I second this sediment... er.. sentiment. Also, taking into consideration what we know about sulfur now: We could say that the Sulfur Dragon's primary is a fire breath weapon that also poisons (doing Con Damage.. or the nauseated for a number of rounds.. whichever is preferred)...

    Creating Rock Dragons.

An idea. What about petrification as a secondary "destructive" breath weapon? It's a pretty unique ability that seems to fit thematically with "Rock Dragons." I would give it to the Granite Dragon myself, if ony because that is the first type of rock to come to mind when talking about...

    Vampire Lord Template

Hello all, The Vampire Lord template comes from the WoTC site which I think has some neat stuff that needs to be updated, so I started with this one. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- VAMPIRE LORD (Template) Among the world of those who...

    Overlooked, underappreciated, magic items

Bag o' Food and Mules! The Survival Pouch from Races of the Wild. It's kinda like buying a small Ranger for five grand. Well worth the money I think.

Oh Look! Another Final Fantasy fanatic tried to make the Dragoon a PrC!

Slowly but Surely! I actually included the example that I promised this time, with luck that should help a bit but essentially your right. I played with the wording of the ability to better suit this and make it a little cleaner. Thanks,

Oh Look! Another Final Fantasy fanatic tried to make the Dragoon a PrC!

Duh! Ha ha ha... in my defense, it was early in the morning when I finished and I was so damn proud of working out the special abilities I forgot about the basics. I've fixed it now though, thanks! Leap Attack is from the Complete Adventurer, it allows you to combine a jump with your charge...

Oh Look! Another Final Fantasy fanatic tried to make the Dragoon a PrC!

Hey all, Yes I know this idea has been done on all sorts of boards (including this one), but I had to try! Anyway, I don't know how much intro this needs since if you know Final Fantasy you probably know what this is, and if you don't.. well just enjoy the jumping-with-a-lance fighter...

    The Lead Golem

Made a minor change. Sigurd: Thanks for your ideas, I kept the chance to beserk out because that seems like a problem common to the lower CR golems (like flesh and clay) and I wanted this one to be somewhere between a stone golem and an iron golem. However, your anti-magic comments reminded me...

    The Lead Golem

Salutations! This is one of the first creatures I've put together for myself and I thought I'd see what the experts think: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- LEAD GOLEM Large Construct Hit Dice: 16d10 + 40 (128)...

    Revamping the Revenant. (Feedback please)

But the Ghost... Your absolutely right that the power of the template has increased. After all, the original version was a CR +1 and I knew that I had brought it past that for sure. The reason I chose CR +2 is because that is the same as the Ghost template which also grants the Rejuvenation...
