Some of the MI films have been better than recent Bond films (meaning everything after You Only Live Twice). Bit hit and miss though.
I wouldn’t say they have “interesting themes” though. Just enjoyable action scenes.
But “interesting themes” isn’t what I would be looking for in a Bond film in...

Title: You Can Take It With You
Synopsis: A successful comedy film director discovers a way to transfer his wealth into the afterlife. He proceeds to buy everything and remake it as a comedy.
In the desert, a new threat rises. A young man, barely more than a boy, has declared himself Messiah, and launched a holy war. Only one man can stop him. His name is Bond. James Bond.
Kenku? They seem to be used as a stand in for non-vocal neurodivergent humans. There are characters like this in Candlekeep, Netherdeep and Witchlight.
That came out after the decision to delay would have been made, so the horror stuff could have been bumped up.
It might even contain stuff intended for Shadowmoor. WotC have a track record of obfuscating UA.
