TSR TSR3.5 Launches IndieGogo Campaign to "Stop" WotC

Last time it was kind of funny stupid. Now it's just delusional and sad.

TSR TSR3.5 Launches IndieGogo Campaign to "Stop" WotC

More likely it's just their terrible language skills, but if it works, so much the better!

Top 5 Tabletop RPGs Spring 2021: Cyberpunk Gains!

Good to see Cyberpunk Red and Alien charting well. Nothing against the 'usual suspects', of course.

War is Hell in Wrath & Glory’s Bloody Gates and On the Wings of Valkyries

Are these releases only in pdf format or will they be published in physical form as well?

TSR Who's running the TSR3 social media accounts?

Of course, like all PR professionals, they put out a statement with a spelling mistake in it as their 'introduction' on Twitter. And doesn't provide contact information like an email, office phone number, mailing address, etc. or even a name. Because that's definitely how the pros do it. I feel...

TSR TSR3 Blames Widespread Pushback On WotC

Conspiracy theories? The last excuse of the guilty for why their stated bigotry isn't really their fault.

The Biggest TTRPG Kickstarter Creators: Free League Is King!

Not a clinker in the bunch! Really excited about Coyote and Crow. It's one of the most original things I've seen in awhile. Free League and MCG just keep churning out good stuff. I've backed a lot of Free League's efforts and never even been a smidgeon disappointed. The have earned that spot!

News Digest for the Week of April 16

I agree. Harmony Gold is not known for being an easy-going company. It took them decades, but I'm guessing they just wore down the others until HG got the deal they wanted.

    A Look Inside Dune 2d20

Really looking forward to this game. Dune is a terrific setting, and there's so many interesting things to do and places to explore. The system sounds pretty flexible. At least it won't get in the way of a good time. All in all, this looks like RPG treatment the setting deserves!

    TSR Did TSR Sue Regularly?

Role Aids had some fun stuff. I used their Psionics supplement for awhile as it was vastly superior to the mess in the back of the AD&D PHB. It's still on my shelf, having survived every downsizing and move since then.

RPG Print News – Goodman Games, Free League Publishing, Troll Lords Games, and More

Once they get through Temple and L-module series, I'd love to see what they do with Against the Giants/Descent/Shrine/Queen series. My players spent some time on the Isle of Dread. So much fun! The Ranger kept blowing his rolls to guide the party so they often took a scenic route around the...

Twilight: 2000 4E: An Interview With Free League

I'm excited they are doing a 4th edition and have backed it. It's a bit too polite to call an earlier edition "crunchy". It was a bit of a mess and in the games I played in, we house-ruled a lot of stuff to get it back to something that was both playable and fun. It'll lose some impact as an...

What's Happened To Warhammer 40K Wrath and Glory?

Well this is disappointing. I like W&G quite a lot having played some Imperium warband games. I think some source books for Ork and Eldar warbands would have been helpful in getting it rolling and explore the non-Imperium options. An Ork warband sounded like a fun concept. I agree with others...

There's An Altered Carbon RPG Coming

I love these books. Some of the best stuff I've read in years. But with Eclipse Phase and Mindjammer already well-established in that space (and I like both of them a lot), I find myself a bit uninterested. Especially given the (to me) unimpressive pedigree of the company handling development...

What the heck is going on with the professional RPG industry in regards to Zak S?

I have never met anyone involved in this (to my knowledge, you meet a lot of people at cons so anything is possible). I support the survivors. I do and hope they get help if they need it and find a way forward. But that's not the same thing as saying I believe them. I have no idea what did or...

Staring Directly Into the Invisible Sun -- A Review

Well, it is a vanity project and those are necessarily pricey. Reading about this reminded me of the Xbox video game Steel Battalion that cost $200 and came with its own unique controller (you drove a mecha in the game so this had twin joysticks and buttons and such). I think you can get a sort...

Staring Directly Into the Invisible Sun -- A Review

I played it at Gen Con this year (2018). The system is quite RP heavy. Stat sheets are very basic. Each player has some stats, a background, and a fixed number of resources that may be spent to activate special abilities, which means activating powers/abilities seems to be fairly rare event...

All Rolled Up With The Cthulhu Hack

I picked up a couple of All Rolled Ups and 'snap' dice trays. They are terrific; not only do they look cool but they work as advertised. The shipping from the UK isn't that bad and it's worth it. I hope they come back to Gencon next year!

    Playing With Savage Rifts

I've played Palladium's system at some length using other settings (Robotech and Palladium Fantasy). I like the system; it's flexible and allows some depth to both role-play and combat events. But it does suffer some of the 'not quite perfect fit' of any game system that attempts to bridge...
