yeah, this is something WotC would not do, but I do not see the OGL as an less self-destructive, just as a different path to it

maybe, it's not like anyone was demanding the SRD under CC, but the end result is that WotC abandoned what their customers were against and went further than just not doing 'the thing'. Compare that to Goodman who is trying to explain to his customers how they are wrong... I am still a WotC...

that always was to be expected, heck there might be some new customers cheering for this same, my view of GG has dropped with the announcement and again with the JG post. At this point I probably will not support them any more outside of maybe an occasional humble bundle

I doubt the reason to print it is to refund the original backers, the reason is to preserve the CSIO and make some money for GG in the process, the way to do this without giving money to JG is to refund their backers agreed, it already has a negative impact, JG and Bledsaw are profiting

they are licensing a product, the money for that goes somewhere, that somewhere is either JG, or, with JG's agreement their KS backers. Out of the two options, refunding the backers is clearly the better one

Druids fell into the preserver niche for me, and clerics never really bothered me, maybe because they existed in other settings as well whereas psionics was something I only encountered in Dark Sun and maybe as a result it did feel like they were specifically added so we could have our cake and...

never liked psionics in Dark Sun, so you have a light and a dark side of ‘the force’ in the preserver and defiler, and then you decide that it is for fools, because psionics are just magic without the downsides of either…

ok, so I bind and gag the wizard, but the psion gets their throat cut when they get captured, works for me ;)
