(5.24 PBP) Vault of the Dracolich (IC) Redux

Copper stuffs his pack before heading up and stepping into the glowing circle. "More for me, I suppose."

Dark Horse Reveals First Dungeons & Dragons Comic

There are Two things that annoy me with this picture: The Fedora. And the Trench Coat. Like, I know FR actually crosses over with Earth on occasion, but they really could have not imported our horrible fashion trends.

(5.24 PBP) Vault of the Dracolich (IC) Redux

"Er, right, sorry." Copper corrects himself before stopping for the sudden lights and sound show. The Goliath turns to quickly size up the old orc, noting his above-average physical condition, which was more impressive given his age. "Sure, I got no objections to him."

(5.24 PBP) Vault Redux (OOC) Fitz's Refresher

I didn't make the graphic, I downloaded a parchment background from the internet, it's been a while, so I kinda forgot where I got it from exactly, heh. I just typed over it with a Segoe Script font.

(5.24 PBP) Vault of the Dracolich (IC) Redux

"Well I can't say that I'm happy about not getting something up-front." Copper would frown between bites. "But a vault of treasures is a vault of treasures." "Before we leave..." Copper takes out a worn-looking scroll case with a peculiar series of giant runes sealed into it, and hands it to the...

D&D 5E (2024) Gunslinger Class (from Valda's Spire of Secrets) on DnD Beyond!

I loathe when designers do this kind of thing. It's the one litmus test I have for games with guns: Do they function differently than every other weapon type in your system? If so, it's not good.

    Most influential RPG

Sword World RPG is being criminally underrated in the scope of it's influence here. Given that it's essentially the blueprint of the JRPG market.

(5.24 PBP) Vault of the Dracolich (IC) Redux

"The Cult of Drench-Oyster fighting the were-raven elves again." Copper half hears while still grazing over the buffet. "Tell us more about this vault filled with diamonds?" Copper ain't one for no fancy history book learnin. History: 1D20-1 = [2]-1 = 1

(5.24 PBP) Vault Redux (OOC) Fitz's Refresher

Copper can go for ranged combat, to be fair. At this point he hasn't used any feats to specialize, and weapon mastery can be swapped out every day. Might have to get him some hand crossbows eventually to keep up with the ranged act, but thats just some gold (or treasure)

(5.24 PBP) Vault Redux (OOC) Fitz's Refresher

    Lets see if I remember this right: Copper * AC:14 * HP:24/24 * HD(d8): 3/3 * PasPrc:14 * Cloud's Jaunt(LR) 2/2 (medium)

(5.24 PBP) Vault Redux (OOC) Fitz's Refresher

I've played a barbarian or two, all you have to do is play aggressively. Full-throttle. There isn't enough time in a one-shot for them to get boring.
  13. Leatherhead

(5.24 PBP) Vault of the Dracolich (IC) Redux

Copper is lean for a Goliath. And while a bit young, is still noticeably bigger than most humans and orcs. Loose clothes and refurbished weapons give the impression of someone, who if not outright poor, lives a life that could be generously described as 'frugal'. Nobody is quite sure how such...

Ok, I got a Goliath Assassin almost entirely ready to go for whatever.

(5.24 PBP) Vault Redux (OOC) Fitz's Refresher

A quick game does sound fun. I haven't played most of the 2024 classes yet, so hopefully they will all feel fresh. Maybe a Rogue?

Assault on Dragonspear (5e PBP) IC

"It's just as well that we go together, I can mask everyone, but only if they stay close to me." Dandin remarks as he thinks back to his training. In particular the one night where he got caught sneaking a pie away from the kitchen because he didn't stay close to the other students. "At any...

Assault on Dragonspear (5e PBP) IC

"Being invisible might not be the best thing to do then." Dandin speculates. "I can hide our footfalls and our scents. And if nobody else can see in the dark, Ol'Sooty can." Dandin can cast Pass Without Trace, which should be better than Invisibility for scouting, I hope someone knows how to...

D&D Debuts Playtest for Psion Class

I'll believe it when I see it, in print that is. This is the 3rd time they have tried it, and already the same disapprovals that ended up scrapping the class last time are spreading. Good luck to the people wishing for it to pass the bar for approval, but that is an infamously hard check to beat.
