[5e] Dread Metrol, The Mourning After. (Horror) (OOC)

Going afk for a week. Finally got a vacation after 7 years, lol.

    Tetris - Official Trailer (2023)

"Based on a true story" eh? The actual story is good enough to make a documentary about it. In fact, the Gaming Historian did just that:

D&D 5E (2014) Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes or Monsters of the Multiverse if I don't care about new PC races?

Tome of Foes technically has more lore, but even then, the lore in both books is dwarfed by what you would find in a wiki. If you are interested in the changes between those entries, I have a thread for you...

    The Savage Seas (5e) [IC]

"I happen to know a thing or two about stars and ships." Crawdad offers. "But really, the bulk of sailors are there for manual labor: Handling line, hoisting sails, and weighing anchor. Also more mundane work like cleaning, cooking, and maintenance. I am quite sure adventurous persons, such as...

D&D 5E (2024) Should healing word require hit dice?

Nerfing Healing Word will not make Combat Healing more effective. If you want to make Combat Healing a real option for a character, you must first significantly up the amount of healing that a healer can produce per action. We are talking three rounds worth of actions Per Heal (based on Monster...

    The Mourning After (Horror) (IC)

The clawfoot zombie is in fact dead, again ! undead fortitude: 1D20+2 = [5]+2 = 7

    The Mourning After (Horror) (IC)

Round 2 The Ghoul, still blazing with radiant flames, contorts its broken body in unnatural ways, dying a second death as Xian's rapier pierces it. The Clawfoot Zombie turns its attention towards the dwarf who dismounted its rider. While the dwarf readily blocks the rotting maw filled with...

D&D 5E (2024) RPG Evolution: The Fox in the Henhouse

I don't see how people are getting "if there was a split, there might not be a new OGL" from this. The entire point of the split was to better monetize WotC brands.

    The Savage Seas (5e) [IC]

Crawdad keeps quiet for a bit, evaluating the people who are assembling for the job.

WotC Talks OGL... Again! Draft Coming Jan 20th With Feedback Survey; v1 De-Auth Still On

I don't understand the point of putting this up to a mass survey. The people directly effected by this do not make up the majority of the D&D survey responders. And the numerical feedback system doesn't allow for anywhere near the amount of nuance that a legal document requires.

Paizo Announces New Irrevocable Open RPG License To Replace the OGL

Wow, last night I was just thinking "with all these companies going to make their own systems, I wonder if someone will try it with a non-profit organization?" I guess I just had to sleep on it.

    The Mourning After (Horror) (IC)

The ghoul is prone, and lit ablaze by radiant light. Acrobatics: 1D20+2 = [7]+2 = 9 Radiant damage does nothing special to most undead, though some have a special weakness, ghouls are not one of them.

MCDM starts work on its RPG Monday!

I would be interested in a game that uses cards instead of dice. I don't know how far it would get, considering it seems like the TTRPG world is going to break up into an asteroid belt, but it would be refreshing at least.

    The Mourning After (Horror) (IC)

When you exit the ransacked house, the mist ripples like a rock tossed into a still lake with each step. You can barely see the ground under your feet, and off in the distance you can see murky clouds where buildings and the spaces between should have been. Even in these ruins, there is a way...

    A Candlekeep Mystery (IC)

"Kiar! HYAH!" Argenti stays near the mouth of the small cave, offering ranged support in the best way she knew: by cursing and throwing stones at the larger of the two creatures. Unfortunately, the stone goes wide. "Crock Jon, are you well? That's the ugliest bug I've ever seen!" Goop check...

[5e] Dread Metrol, The Mourning After. (Horror) (OOC)

Oh thank goodness the holidays are over! I can finally get some rest and writing in! One more roll and we should be able to get back into the swing of things.

    The Savage Seas (5e) [IC]

Crawdad takes a look at the bar: Toppled furniture, blood splatters, people visibly agitated. He folds up his fan and enters the bar after tipping his hat to man holding the door. "Why Mister Beltran, I do believe we have just missed out on the evenings festivities!" The wood elf says with a...

    The Mourning After (Horror) (IC)

Yelisha nodds her head. "I will lead you." The reconstructed woman gives Eyrena a tearful hug goodbye, then leads the party to a decrepit back ally. The buildings here are boarded and sealed with a quick-mason solution. An impromptu barricade of any material available, topped with sparking...
