Interest Check, TSR Marvel Super Heroes!

We’re in the Marvel Universe, you’ll run into other heroes and villains ( more the villains I’m sure). As for power level you guys are on the high end Avenger/Inhuman level. Or in a more modern context, like the Ultimates. But it seems like you guys have a lot of ranks in powers. Your...

Interest Check, TSR Marvel Super Heroes!

Well if you are curious download some basic splatbooks like Secret wars 1 or avengers assemble to get an idea of power level. For comparison the game has Professor X as an Unearthly Telepath. And remember the Body Armor power reduces your agility by one as a permanent reduction so that’s a...

I’m sleep deprived but yes this looks correct. In regards to 3, that seems right, although taking a cue from the comics I think you can at least speak, if...only...in ...a..dramatic way. And of course there is a Psyche Check to extend the force field. As for 5. I’m assuming the different...

Also....in regards to the setting, we’ll just go with present day Marvel Universe. Don’t worry about canon, we’ll do our own thing in regards to establishing relationships etc. The beauty of comics is that we don’t need to really pick a theme per se; we can do all the periods I outlined if we...

To use this example you would take 20 points of damage from the cold ray. If you only had Body Armor you would take 50 points of damage because you would shift columns four to the left since the damage is non physical. Sent from my iPhone using EN World

The way I’ve read it, Body Armor protects against physical damage, punches, blunt and sharp weapons, bullets. It shifts to the left for any other type of damage-Energy, elemental etc. Resistance is like Body armor against one type-fire, cold etc. Force field protects against all types of...

In the yellow Battle Book, in the combat section there’s a section in Body Armor that explains difference between armor and force field.

The rules state that you can enclose one area at no cost and then have to make a check to extend and maintain it an additional one, two, or three areas. So the force field can be thought of a personal field- a dome or bubble or whatever that can be extended to others.

For what it’s worth the game does not have to be a full on space game; and Im more than open to your opinions more in full. As for vehicles, if you’re simply worried about a space vessel I wouldn’t be. I’m less concerned about that sort of combat then the actual powers and abilities of the...

Yes but as written it’s terrible. And other than a tail it seems other powers already cover this in regards to speed or movement or even perception. It’s very weird.

To clarify perhaps extra body part would cost ten points and give a one column shift for one single ability. For instance a tail for agility, ear or antennae for perception, arm for strength or fighting etc... Sent from my iPhone using EN World

Many powers in the game assume random chargen. In many cases their ranking is superseded by Ability rank. As for extra body part we’d have to discuss. As written, It seems to have no real mechanical advantage. It’s almost like a talent.

I’m ignoring the origin adjustments since were doing a straight point by. I’d prefer to keep to the basic powers, but I’m willing to discuss either players ideas or stuff brought in from the advanced books.
