What's third edition got to do with it? Anyway, I have no problems at all with this kind of maneuver. I've seen it enough in movies that it makes sense for a cinematic style combat. Maybe the description of the maneuver needs to be clarified a bit, but it otherwise seems fine with me.

Really? Although there have been innumerable threads complaing about AoOs, I don't remember seeing anyone complain about the name being unwieldy....
