Size increase as a class ability?

Size increase as a class ability?

As far as I know there are no class abilities (alternate or otherwise) besides the Goliath barbarian substitution that would change your size. Like Psi said your best bet with 1st party stuff is Permanent Enlarge Person, and pray that no Greater Dispels come your way to muck it up.

    Hexblade 10/AotS 10

Unless your DM will allow Dragon Mag for the Cansin and then allows either LA buyoff or using a homebrew savage progression for it, your best bet seems to be the savage progression for Aasimar since Tiefling has a charisma penalty. This is assuming you'd still prefer a native outsider. If it's...

    Hexblade 10/AotS 10

Unless you know you'll be spending a significant amount of time playing at or above level 20, that build won't meet your wants of getting the outsider type. There are native outsiders like Aasimar and Tieflings, however. http://www.minmaxboards.com/index.php?topic=1281.0 has a rather large...

    Hexblade 10/AotS 10

You might want to look at http://community.wizards.com/go/thread/view/75882/19547530/Contacting_Wizards_of_the_Coast_about_Hex_Blades?post_id=332210466#332210466 if your DM is permissive. Mike Mearls himself posted the additions, so the designers know that the hexblade is a bit gimped. I...

Bardic Knowledge Without Being a Bard

If you don't mind using 2nd party stuff, the Mariner class from Dragonlance's Legend of the Twins book gets a refluffed version of Bardic Knowledge called Sailor Lore. It's sadly a T5 class though since its other features tend to be fairly crappy.

    Mortal creature VS liiving creature

Starting with http://www.d20srd.org/indexes/typesSubtypes.htm: http://www.d20srd.org/srd/typesSubtypes.htm#elementalType has: "Unlike most other living creatures, an elemental does not have a dual nature—its soul and body form one unit." Thus, elementals seem to be living at the very least...

    Spiked Chain Fighter

Your language was bordering on snide in that paragraph, so the only conclusion I could come to was you were badgering. I know exactly what the rules are concerning Inhuman Reach and the lines about reach weapons doubling one's natural reach. There are also the lines within the feat itself...

    Bear Warrior PrC question

Deepwarden and FotF do stack actually since they are different kinds of bonuses. Deepwarden's Con to AC explicitly replaces Dex to AC (check RoS page 105), which means it functions the same and would end up adding to touch. The entire point of the feature is to use Con instead of Dex after...

    Spiked Chain Fighter

Are you replying to Holyplankton? He's not the one in charge of the rules so it's not exactly useful to badger him about stuff he has little to no say in. I pointed out the rules discrepancy because I know it can be an issue, and it's worth looking into for this character. DMs tend to...

    Spiked Chain Fighter

Careful with the tactic of using Inhuman Reach to double the chain's reach. A DM might look at that and call BS due to the chain not being physically long enough. It might be RAW, but a DM might find it RAWtarded.

    Bigger and not better?

Unless a template specifically says it grants the size bonuses from the improving monsters section (Half Minotaur from Dragon 313 is one of the few) then it does not.

Natural Attacks- Bite and Headbutt in the same round?

http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/rg/20070403a and http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/rg/20070410a specifically reference a monk being able to make his normal unarmed routine (which is treated as a manufactured weapon) and then do all the natural attacks as secondary natural weapons...

    Spiked Chain Fighter

I'm not sure what exactly is available to you, so I'll give you some of the best stuff for fighters is general. I'd probably recommend Improved Trip and Knock-down to deal extra damage and control your enemies a bit. Eventually getting Shock Trooper is a great investment especially if you can...

    Marionnen's Musings: Featless?

"Some simplifying" being a fairly large understatement. Or at least balance them decently.

Natural Attacks- Bite and Headbutt in the same round?

The rule on natural attacks is if it doesn't say you can't do it, you probably can. I've been trying to fish up the line I thought I read where a certain creature couldn't make a bite attack and tail attack in the same full action, but I haven't found anything saying that can't happen.

Rangers Combat Mastery for an Improved animal companion; fair trade?

In practice just giving the ranger full AC progression and taking nothing away is usually a fine move since many rangers could use the extra bump in power. As for it being a "fair" trade to swap the combat style for a better AC, a good AC will definitely outdo the feats granted by the combat...

    Marionnen's Musings: Featless?

You pretty much want D&D Lite, yes? It seems more likely that you'd get a better result by building it from the ground up than by cutting and tweaking already existing aspects of D&D, but that's just my opinion.

    Marionnen's Musings: The Ineffective Iterative

The fix used in some of the games I've played in is that the first iterative is at full, then every subsequent attack is at -5, and that's it. So a level 20 full BAB character would be +2, then +15, +15, +15. It's usually done to give more power to the martial characters since they usually...
