Ashtal: I would say put bards back, maybe tweaked. If you are doing Celtic feel, the right kind of bard would fit very well. :)

Kitten crunchies (friskies are good) in a little bit of milk, nuke for ~5 seconds. Softens the crunchies, but they don't get too hot, and the kids love the milk flavor. :)
