    Short-range teleportation

Ah. I'd been assuming the Player's guide was redundant with the DM's guide. From 19 squares (19) to 20 (50) is kind of a big jump then, but I've seen stranger things.

    Short-range teleportation

In the 4E version of WotBS, how much damage does short-range teleportation, such as Fey Step, do to the user? Page 20 of the Campaign Guide makes it clear that it does some, at least by default, but as far as I can see, nowhere mentions a specific number for any distance under 100 feet.

    The Perfect Picture

Royo? Whether that's him or not, he draws some very strong, powerful women, some very juvenile cheescakey women, and some that are kinda both; a good source for stuff like this if you're willing to spend some time weeding.

    Weapon and Implement Expertise

That seems... well, first of all, like something that might be interesting but shouldn't be called D&D. There is at least one successful RPG built along these lines, Amber Diceless Roleplaying, that you might want to check out. But also, it's too wild a departure to really have anything to do...

    Weapon and Implement Expertise

Okay, with votes starting to slow down (though they're still going to be open for about a week yet), it has pretty consistently been: A little over half in favour of option 1 About two thirds as many votes for option 3 as for option 1 A minority of around 10% or less in favour of option 2...

    Oots 0715

I'd have captured Hayley too on suspicion of being Sabine, if I were the lizard guys and working from that poster. Female, check. Rogue, check.[1] Appears human, check. Unless of course they had some way of verifying that she wasn't a fiend. [1] They couldn't decisively verify this but if...

    Weapon and Implement Expertise

Okay, I don't have the PH3, so assume it's not a factor. What is this "Versatile Expertise" that everyone's talking about? If it's just what it sounds like, a version of the feats I'm asking about that works for whatever you want, then it's another example of what I'm asking about, and the...

    Weapon and Implement Expertise

Poll is now up. The specific rule change I was thinking of was: Everyone gets 2 Weapon Expertise feats, 2 Implement Expertise feats, or one of each (EDIT: or now that I'm aware of its existence, I may change that to simply one Versatile Expertise feat) for free at 5th level. They remain...

    Weapon and Implement Expertise

I've seen a few discussions of this topic, but I'm not sure if there's a consensus so let's see how ENWorld as a whole really feels about it. Are the Weapon and Implement Expertise feats: Needed in order for attacks to keep up with defenses, and so something that would be more appropriate as a...

    Oots 714

I checked the comic pretty carefully for anything clarifying whether the "her" they were leaving behind was Hayley or V, and found nothing. What makes you so sure it's Hayley?

    Away a while - what's the situation?

How can it be both the top three products of all time, and "far behind" 3.0?

    OotS #712 - Neutralize Elf

Doesn't matter. If his Str is reduced to zero, he's helpless and can't take any actions. Technically even letting him talk is a stretch. (If it's not reduced to zero, he should be relatively unimpeded, which clearly isn't the case.)

    OotS #712 - Neutralize Elf

Which, in an obvious pun on the term ".MOb", was a Mafia don. Makes as much sense as anything at this point, I guess. Though I don't remember a one-panel joke like that ever becoming integral to the main plot before.

Spell lists for non-core classes that take Spell Compendium into account?

I was looking through WotC's 3.5 archives today and the "interview" (i.e. piece of thinly disguised marketing fluff) for the Spell Compendium promises lists for classes like the Hexblade in a web enhancement. However, the link leads to nothing of the sort, merely a sortable (sort of - try to...

    Forceria Sword World RPG

I'd be interested too, in both the setting and the mechanics. I went looking for this information a few months ago and came up with a very basic summary of the latter (not sure where, or whether I saved it anywhere) and very little about the former.

    General Forum overrun by polls....

+1. I've never seen the slightest point in these "survivor" ones in particular, especially given that the game, more than ever, is about teamwork.

    Rearranging the sub-forums...again

At a guess, because it was goofy to have to look to two different sections for, say, 4E discussion. I almost immediately liked the new organization better, and it's along more intuitive lines so I don't see the reacquaintance process as a serious problem.

It feels to me like Hasbro has lit a fire under Wizards of the Coast, and given them

The word on magicthegathering.com is of the best year they've had in quite some time, thanks to the new approach to the basic set as well as the greater availability of products like the Duel Decks that you can just pick up and play. The people who seem to think Magic is fading would appear to...

OotS #709 is up! No Scry Zone

You have a point. However, he has, as yet, not spread much awesome around in this particular plotline. I grant that it's only been one panel so far, but that has been plenty of time for him to do so in the past.

    Carl Sargent

I remember this happening with Tony Banks of Genesis a few years ago (I was the one to revert the change); two years later hundreds of thousands of people could see him alive and well on tour with Phil and Mike. I'd bet heavily against it being true without some sort of further corroboration.
