Did you miss the post where I did exactly this?

Level Up (A5E) Magic Item Price List

Player's Handbook, page 114, the sidebar "Your Spellbook", third paragraph under "Copying a Spell into the Book", first sentence: "For each level of the spell, the process takes 2 hours and costs 50 gp."

Worlds of Design: To Move or Not to a New Edition?

There isn't one simple answer to a question like this. It depends what I think of the changes. I picked the second, "sometimes new sometimes old" option but that's just the most common answer. I certainly don't have the need some people do to always be using the latest and ostensibly greatest...

    ZEITGEIST Copying from Zeitgeist PDFs

As I mentioned before, I'm currently running Zeitgeist on Roll20. Sometimes it would be really useful to be able to copy and paste a picture from the pdfs, most commonly an NPC portrait. However this does not seem to be anywhere near as straightforward as it might sound. When I try to do this...

Cypher System by Monte Cook Games: what do you think about it?

Here are two Facebook posts I've written about it at different times. TL;DR - tried it, didn't like it. EDIT: I should clarify that the second one is specifically about Numenera and a few bits of it may be specific to that implementation, but most of it will apply to all the main Cypher titles...

Pathfinder 1E How to Survive Dominate

If they're vulnerable to Dominate, they're vulnerable to Hold Person, which is also a lot less resource-intensive to cast. Basically any save-or-suck or save-or-not-be-part-of-that-fight effect with a Will save.

    ZEITGEIST Draçon de Mer

I'm sure that's all true but it seems beside the point. The issue was that the map doesn't match the description (including in ways that directly affect gameplay and are not just flavour text); I said nothing about whether the map or the description was more realistic.

    D&D 5E (2014) What does 5E do well?

It does most things well enough. It's kind of a "second-best at everything" edition. One big factor is the whole "gateway drug" aspect of it, but you're somewhat right to dismiss that because that's not really because of any merit of its own. It's more good fortune in being around at the time...

    ZEITGEIST Draçon de Mer

Hi, all. I'm reading ahead to the third adventure and I'm having trouble reconciling the map of il Draçon de Mer with the text. Where are the quarters that are mentioned in the Aftermath section? Where could the ramp mentioned under Tactics possibly be stored? For that matter where do people...

RPG Print News – Legendary Games, Pelgrane Press, and More

When Frog God says an adventure is for "Pathfinder", do they mean first or second edition? They're very different as I'm sure most people reading this realize, and the Noble Knight site the links go to is completely unhelpful on this point.

Worlds of Design: How D&D is Like American Football

For whatever it's worth whoever at Square came up with the active time battle system used in Final Fantasy 4 through 9 was inspired by American football and used that analogy to explain it, including, IIRC, in the patent application.

D&D 5E (2014) What is the most played published adventure on your table?

Pharaoh, I suppose, that being the only one I've attempted to run more than once. Nothing in 5E.

Level Up (A5E) Level Up: An issue of class names

Herald sounds more like a Bard replacement minus the musical theme. It doesn't say "Paladin" to me at all and there isn't a single alternative suggestion in this thread that I don't like better.

Blog (A5E) Let’s Look At The Level Up Character Sheet

I'm still not seeing a principled difference between Athletics and Acrobatics that isn't either Str vs Dex or "because we've always done it this way". Why couldn't those be Athletics checks? What is gained by making it a separate skill? I'm especially puzzled by your second example. Climbing is...

Blog (A5E) Let’s Look At The Level Up Character Sheet

It seems to me this is just a way of saying Acrobatics should always be tied to Dexterity and Athletics should always be tied to Strength. But we know that's not what they're doing. Here's a couple questions that may help you see where the person you're replying to is coming from. Can you...

With how many people have of role-played with since your first game?

Probably about 100, but I went with "90-99" because I feel like the answer is probably a lot closer to 90 than to 150 if I'm choosing between ranges that include those numbers. I haven't kept an exact count and it would be a hopeless endeavour to try to create one now.

D&D General UPDATE: this isn't greenlit : Jeff Grubb's Lost Mystara Sourcebook To Be Released

I actually liked it better wrong, in some ways! The one you originally linked is really important too, and gives a lot of context to the one you meant.
