I would like to second that! Some Like It Hot is a GREAT movie!
more lines from the movie:
Joe: [apologizing because the motor boat will only move backwards] I'm afraid it may take a little longer.
Sugar: It's not how long it takes, it's who's taking you.
Has anyone every tried this in a game? The basic idea is to start a low level (1st or so) D&D game with all the trappings; Characters meet at a tavern, discuss where the local dungeon is, etc.....
Suddenly the village is attacked by extra-dimensonal slavers and the PC's are captured. They wake...
Humm let me see,
Showgirls, I walked out of that movie and demanded my money back, which I got. Even the T&A in it was terrible.
Hudson Hawk, Ack!! A horrendous movie with Bruce Willis! Bad acting, bad story, bad everything.
I really really like it.
Production values where very good in my opinion. I LOVED the space combat scenes. Good acting and story. A very stylish update of Galactica in my mind.
I don't know if you could call it a direct sequel. Yojimbo and Sanjuro have the same main character but other than that there is no direct connection. Same character different situation and story.
Personally, I really like Sanjuro. It's tone is alittle lighter than Yojimbo but it is still a...
Kagemusha would be a great idea for a D&D adventure. Have one of the PC's look just like the local lord who has just died. The advisers to the lord don't want the word of his death public until a vital negoiations are over. So they hire the PC to impersonate the Lord.
I remember there being a Yeti in the old 2e rules. But for the life of me I cannot find it anywere in 3.0 or 3.5 form. Does anyone know if the Yeti has been done for the newer rules.
Some of the evil of my tale may have been inherent in our circumstances. For years we lived anyhow with one another in the naked desert, under the indifferent heaven. By day the hot sun fermented us; and we were dizzied by the beating wind. At night we were stained by dew, and shamed into...
Here is the Samurai Creed. It might give you some ideas on your character.
I have no parents; I make the Heavens and the Earth my parents.
I have no home; I make the Tan T'ien my home.
I have no divine power; I make honesty my Divine Power.
I have no means; I make Docility my means.
I have...
I am getting about 3 or 4 different error messages when I try to do anything on here. It takes severel refreshes to get a regular screen.
In fact it is taking over 10 tries to get this message posted.
I need to make a new character for one the games that I am in and I was thinking about a bard. I think I will try a Bard/Longblade and see how it goes. :D
PS. It is nice to see another Arlingtonite on these boards!
I don't think that is completely true. Shugenja were originally found in the Bushido role-playing game which was a fantasy feudal Japan setting. Really much of the Japanese elements for the Five Rings game came from Bushido.
Your right. I can come up with what "I" feel that a Mayan vampire would be like and my players wouldn't have any idea if it was authientic or not. :D It's not like they are experts in mesoamerican mythology or anything.
I am starting a Skull and Bones game in the near future and one of the main bad guys is a Mayan Vampire. Did the Mayan's even have a creature that was equivalent to a vampire? If so what where there powers? Weaknesses? etc....
thanks
