I don't know about Drow, not having the Monster Manual, but the Eladrin's Trance seems to be due to their mystical links to the Feywild. Since elves are far more creatures of this world, they don't have the Trance rule, so we can assume they sleep, just as we assume for all other non-human races.

Fey pact is my favourite, but when I made a Warlock I went for Infernal because it went better with the character concept (plus it was a dwarf).

As I read it, you can choose another at-will power. You get Eldritch Blast, and the pact decides your otehr at-will, but there's no restriction on other at-wills you may get mentioned.
