Too many action types in action economy

The only types of actions I don't like personally are immediate actions. Why not separate them as two independent actions: reactions and interrupts? The word 'immediate' before those words causes confusion.

Inquisitors should have been the name for Avengers

What do you see them as such?

    Another Halo Of Warding question

I think your DM was right. It stated "provided THE enemy does not shift or is not forcefully moved or teleported..." The knight teleports into your square, so it counts. The only case where your DM will be wrong is when YOU are teleported beside the knight.

    Epic Final Battle

Damn! I envy you! We just entered our epic level. Although we leveled up 1, 3, 5, 7, etc. We still are going to achieve epic level. Hope to have a good adventure experience with that. :)

    Regarding Neverwinter's deviant Cleric domains

Because men by nature are never contented? :D Besides, this is just for the fun of having a good argument.

    Regarding Neverwinter's deviant Cleric domains

We have storm, sun, earth, and death; but why do we have Corellon, Selune, Oghma, and Torm? I know the devs explained in the book. You know what, I'll just cite it. "The domains here differ from the domains in HotFL because each focuses on a specific deity. This focus allows each domain to...

    Legends and Lore: Customized Complexity

Speaking of Paizo and OGL, obviously Paizo, or Pathfinder to be specific, is a pseudo-3e and 4e at the same time, with their own original rules, or should I say they picked the best out of 3e and 4e. First, Pathfinder is basically 3.5 upgraded. Imagine 3.5 player's handbook copy pasted and...

Playing Against Expectations - The Archer Fighter

Which is exactly my point Wotc called the O-fighter "Weaponmasters", but can't even wield a bow right - as depicted by the none-existence of rangerd fighter powers.

Playing Against Expectations - The Archer Fighter

Well, this could lead us to our next argument: archer/ranged defenders. :)

Inquisitors should have been the name for Avengers

Duly noted. My mistake on the title approach.

Inquisitors should have been the name for Avengers

It's like this, as I've noticed archery is good with all roles, except defenders (We have never seen an archer/ranged defender so far). The reason why I wanted to see a build like that for an avenger is because it fits them. I know you said that the class's design was to beat the enemies in...

Inquisitors should have been the name for Avengers

I know you get what I mean, or maybe you don't. What I just wished to see was a build focusing on archery for avengers. You said that we should just make ranger/avengers, but why did Wotc make a two-weapon fighter build, when you can just hybrid or MC fighter/ranger? Right? There is also a...

Playing Against Expectations - The Archer Fighter

The idea of this thread, according to the article above, was to make a Royal Archer type of warrior, much like Sebastian in dragon age 2 who wore a chainmail, or should I say, the archer city or castle guards who wore chainmails or scale armor. Rangers on the other hand, don't start out with...

Playing Against Expectations - The Archer Fighter

A novice player in my table tried it and using the Battle Wrath stance with a longbow, it dealt 1d10+12 basic attack damage. Even the veterans was like, "NOT FAIR!" hahaha. But he doesn't have any dailies though, so can't use fancy moves, but he was happy with it.

Inquisitors should have been the name for Avengers

The argument is about archer avengers. IMO, 'avengers' shouldn't have been the name of the class. Pathfinder got the right word for it, Inquisitor, which still functions like the 4e avenger, but has ranged weapon capabilities (I'm not a Pathfinder fan). Avengers were designed by Wotc to be the...

Playing Against Expectations - The Archer Fighter

I appreciate your argument. With the fact that WotC are now making newer class builds that are not following the norm, e.g. the new defender and striker barbarian, why haven't they built an archer fighter in the first place? The first argument is about archer fighters, which can be achieved...

    Legends and Lore: Customized Complexity

I'll restate your last sentence: "I applaud them for asking for feedback on those ideas before making them official." This strategy was used by Pathfinder first before launching their official books. This strategy made Pathfinder the top 1 RPG game as of Summer 2011. (I haven't played a single...

    Scourge Of Exquisite Agony

Correct. The only way for that to be available is be a warlock or MC into it.

Playing Against Expectations - The Archer Fighter

The warlord has the option and uses strength for it. Why can't the Fighter, or in general, strength classes use strength to make ranged basic attacks? Logically speaking, bows need strength to be pulled too (I'm not sure about this). And to some lesser extent, in most video games crossbows need...

    Legends and Lore: Customized Complexity

I always thought WoTC posts these kind of articles so that we, as consumers, can intellectually discuss it, then Wotc staffs will scan our discussions and grab some good stuff to implement on their ever-planned 5e.
