Military leader, town leader - title?

How pseudo-historic do you want it? Reeve could be a good title for a non-noble leader. Elderman does not always mean someone who is the oldest in a village, but a leading figure of the community. Captain is good. Literally the head of something or other. Was used by anyone who had his own...

Can we have a 4e variant of M&M or something like it?

I definitely think you could have a good superhero system based on the same tenets as 4e. However I do not think it is allowed under the GSL, so you'd have to start from scratch and reverse engineer the system.

    Unpainted Plastics?

The Alkemy minis looke, if anything, even better in real life. And the game is great as well. It's a slowly growing range, however - Kraken is more interested in stability than fast growth. There are also a bunch of 4e supplements about the world and races of Alkemy - sadly only in French. I...

    Unpainted Plastics?

It has gotten a lot better. We're starting to see a lot of historical minis in plastic, and no doubt we'll see more fantasy soon. In order to make the most out of each mould it is best to make whole sprues with several figures in many pieces. This allows you to get a lot of variation from each...

    Unpainted Plastics?

Alkemy, Wargames Factory, Warlord, Victrix, Mantic Games.... There are quite a few miniature makers out there who are starting to do plastics. Just a few years ago it was prohibitively expensive to make moulds for plastic figures, but now it's a lot cheaper.

    Faerzress 4e?

The teleportation business is hardly relevant in 4e, I'd say, as it's harder to do long-range teleportation back and forth all the time. And if drow weapons no longer disintegrate in sunlight - well, why do we need faerzress?

I love 4E - but I hate the 4E modules. What can be done?

Goodman Games have some nice adventures, really. The only ones I've really read are the three Punjar adventures. I really like those - city adventuring with shorter dungeons. (The first one may need a little brushing up, as it was released very early in the 4e cycle. But it's fine as it is. The...

    What is 4E about?

Yep. The Thief was purely for powergamers! :p

    What is 4E about?

3e was about empowering the players 4e gives some of that back to the DM, and gives him a plethora of new tools. 4e is about being able to do nifty stuff - as a player, as a character, and as a DM. They are all about killing things and taking their stuff. The 4e rules are perhaps a bit more...

A portal takes you to a place called 'Earth'. What do you loot?

The classical answers is of course to seek out the grave of Roland and get the Horn of Fate, a.k.a. Olifant, in order to end your own world and rebuild it again.

    Appeal to Support EN World!

I just got the following notice. Is there no way to get the subscription to run without confirming and going through the payment process every month?

"It's a good start, but I can't make any promises." I thought you were describing soldiers setting of for a foreign country to prepare it to the right form of government and thus stop them from sending soldiers/terrorists/adventurers?

I'll get to try out 4e this weekend, advice?

Good point by Avin, there. What you do as a wizard isn't blow stuff up. You're the guy who tells the enemies where they go and what they do. Think about how to mess up their plans.

There's some trickling out of the depths of the DDI....

    Does phasing provoke?

If you haven't told them they most certainly will believe they are unable to.

True. (I wouldn't, and I can be pretty RB.) It could be argued that he's thrown off a bug moving at speed, perhaps. But it looks like it hurts - and we have seen that the OotS DM can be pretty RB.

How many from your group(s) use ENW?

The groups I play with consist of about a dozen, and besides me I know one that fairly regularly visits (and I suppose he has an account, I haven't seen him post anything), and a couple more that may have accounts (and at least have visited from time to time). So, somewhere in the vicinity of...
