I went to some D&D camps (well, RPG camps, but it was mostly D&D) back in 80-82, here in Sweden. Great fun! It was a gaming club, oddly enough affiliated with the Swedish Navy's Youth Club, and held out on one of the small islands where they had sailing camps. A whole week with nothing but...

I prefer several small linked dungeons, where the players can have some time to do other things in between - variatio delectat. 1d8 rooms, not all with encounters, and some being the same continuous encounter.

Universalis has no GM. Or, well, perhaps all players are GMs. And it can be a roleplaying game. :)

That seems to be wholly against Wizards intent with the event, which is to advertise and draw in new players. I agree that the store needs to be exposed, and Wizards told.

Yeah, sitting/standing higher than the table makes it easier.

I use (my handmade) battlemats, which are mounted on cardboard, and just put a couple of boxes (old Necromunda boxes, usually) beneath them to get them a bit above the table. As I have several battlemats I can easily switch them, and have one prepared for a special encounter.
