    Ideal Party Make-up.

How about: 2 players who actually like to roleplay (Roleplayers). 2 players who don't care about roleplaying and just want to kill monsters (Wargamers). 1 player who's funny and can smooth over fights between the Roleplayers and the Wargamers (Mediator). 1 DM who can tell good stories and...

    Idea regarding D&D Minis

I'm with Vaxalon on this one: Mass combat rules are 100% necessary, but they don't need to be tied to any particular line of minis. I would much rather see a rulebook that was generic enough that I could use any mini I wanted to represent any unit I wanted. If I wanted to play with different...

Why is Dragonlance Your Least Favorite Setting?

    Hmm.... um..... marketing? :p

Why is Forgotten Realms your least favorite setting?

I'd just like to point out that complaints about powerful NPCs are the same beef people have with Dragonlance. For those who want to defend one over the other on that subject. :D

    Who, Drizzle? Oops... my bad.:o

What should happen to the Forgotten Realms campaign setting?

I'm confused... what exactly is it that makes FR FR? I always thought it was designed as hodge-podge potpouri fantasy.

Why is Dragonlance Your Least Favorite Setting?

[off topic] I thought Nixon took the U.S. off the Gold Standard as President, not Vice President. That'd be '70s, wouldn't it? I was born the year Nixon quit, so I kinda missed most of it. But that's what I heard. :D [/off topic]

Who would you rather have making D&D?

Hear hear! Or is it "Here here!"? "Hear here!"? "Here hear!"?

    Books you DO like.

I don't buy all that often, and my last purchase was a toss-up between Deities and Demigods and Manual of the Planes. I chose Deities and Demigods, and I have have been most pleased with it. Damn good book, I highly recommend it. Great for campaign building. My next purchase will be Manual of...

[OT] If I read the term "crunchy bits" one more time...

When you puke, will it have crunchy bits? That'd be cool. Better than fluffy bits, I suppose. Or would it?

Who would you rather have making D&D?

I say give it up to public domain completely. Create some volunteer organization comprized of all the major game publishers, sort like w3c, to come up with standardized rules that everyone can use. Make the rules freely available, and just publish modules/adventures/settings.

Why is Forgotten Realms your least favorite setting?

Ok, so we have a Dragonlance least favorite setting thread http://enworld.cyberstreet.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=17706 but Forgotten Realms won as the least favored setting on these boards: http://enworld.cyberstreet.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=17480 (even though Dragonlance and...

Why is Dragonlance Your Least Favorite Setting?

Wha-wha-wha-what???!?!? After Weiss/Hickman stopped writing????!? So you missed out on greats like Rose of the Prophet, and Death Gate? Even the Darksword trilogy was pretty cool (till the sci-fi ending -- that part kinda blew). Oh, wait. You meant after they stoped writing Dragonlance. Well...

Why is Dragonlance Your Least Favorite Setting?

How about we take away the stereotypical dwarven fighter who carries a barrel of ale on his back and hurls curses like "sandstone" and whose women have beards instead? I've always hated stereotypes like that in D&D, yet they're still around and everyone seems to like it. The problem with the...

Why is Dragonlance Your Least Favorite Setting?

I have to agree there... the ending left a *lot* to be desired. That, and the numerous editing mistakes left a really bad taste in my mouth about the series. Personally, I got the feeling that the ending was tacked on to make room for the new campaign setting. I honestly believe there was a...

Choose which 1/2 race you'd like to see most

I have a half-human template I wrote up a while ago. I'll post it when I get home. In my campaign, no race is genetically compatible with another race, *except* humans, which are genetically compatible with all humanoid races.

    Not so prestigious classes

Al -- In Joshua's defense... He does think the Monk might be good as what he calls a pseudo-prestige-class. I personally agree that the Monk might be better as a pseodo-prestige-class than as a normal class because Monks come from monastic orders, which fits his definition of a...

why no epic levels for dieties?????

eXodus, are you ignoring what people say, or just trolling? The Deities and Demigods book was designed to be used *without* the Epic Level Handbook. Epic levels are an *option*. Divine Rank is an *option*. You don't have to use either book to play the game. The purpose of making the books...
