    Unconfirmed: More Layoffs at WotC

With respect for those who do the job, and have more talent for this line of work than I do, there is no shortage of talented and capable people who want to work at WotC. So WotC gets to cherry-pick and lay off with no apparent business consequences. The discussion of whether or not the...

    Unconfirmed: More Layoffs at WotC

We don't know the sales numbers so we DON'T have facts on D&D's performance, so we can't conclude with certainly that this management policy has any effect, destructive or otherwise, on the brand. It's hard to analyze WotC's management decisions and conclude that their revolving door is entirely...

Triangle Area, NC 4E D&D LF Gamers

I've got a small group of late twenty-somethings, early thirty-somethings and I'm looking to add some new players for Friday evening D&D games that start at 9:00 PM at our home. If you're the kind of player who's not afraid to talk like an orc and put a little extra flair into the character...

This reminds me of 2nd Edition's XP system. Anyone remember the thief getting XP/ gold piece stolen?

Stalker0's Alternate Core Skill Challenge System: FINAL VERSION 1.8!

I haven't had to deal with that yet. I'll probably just let them have their re-roll without modifiying it.

Purple Index Cards: On-the-Fly Setting and Plot Collaboration

Could you upload the word doc to google doc? I'd like to use this, but I would look at switching it to an action point econony instead of XP.

Purple Index Cards: On-the-Fly Setting and Plot Collaboration

There was a system of Virtues and Hubrises that had a mechanical effect. Players could spend a "drama die" to use their Virtue and GM's could use a drama die to invoke their Hubris. For example: Virtue-- Adaptable = Cancel effects of Surprise on self. Hubris-- Loyal = You go back for a fallen...

Stalker0's Alternate Core Skill Challenge System: FINAL VERSION 1.8!

I have a house rule allowing players to spend an action point to re-roll the die, and this gets used in skill challenges as well.

Purple Index Cards: On-the-Fly Setting and Plot Collaboration

Got a new idea for you. Virtue/Hubris system ala 7th Sea RPG. I'll spare you a run down of the system, incase you are already familiar with it, but I think that could fit with your system.

Character Flaws - Alderac Entertainment Style

I'v just discovered I'm using the wrong terms. It was a system of virtues and hubrises. How do you think that system would work in 4E, or if you played with it, how did you feel about your GM invoking your hubris?

    Condition Cards, Part 2

I feel bad for pointing this out, but the part one condition cards on your site are downloading with the original grammar; the sets don't match

Character Flaws - Alderac Entertainment Style

Anyone here recall the character flaw system for Stargate and 7th Sea RPG? I've been thinking about rebuilding it for 4th edition. If I remember correctly, the system allowed any player or the DM to invoke a flaw for added drama and excitement. Thoughts?

    Condition Cards

My vote is for leaving out ongoing 15 OR Leaving out all numbers and just out "ongoing" making 8 conditions. For the 9th card, you could make a "Buffed" card for all those temporary +1's a leader grants...

It seems to me that these rituals get closer to what magic items SHOULD be in the game.

WoTC "social networking" integration with EN World?

Personal preferences? I'd like the cards the same size as magic cards on a 3x3 sheet. I'd like to have all the conditions, but not if there will be copyright issues. So typing it out is fine by me, if I have to.

Weem, any chance you might put up some condition cards? or some blanks that might turn into condition cards?

    Co-op game recommendations

It's worth noting that there is an expansion for pandemic that will let you play with more than 4 players. We've played it and it's one of my groups favorite board games
