Since I've signed up as a CS, I can't see the fundraiser "thermometer", but I'm curious about how the drive is progressing.

This isn't specific to gaming, IMO. It seems pretty normal behavior to be more "conservative" and accommodating around a small group of people that you don't know very well. And I think this creates some collective inertia. So it takes a little leadership to get the group going.

Avengers have to go. I don;t want to see the "original" iconic classes voted off ahead of some new silliness.

My own thought, from having set up alot of groups and letting people try it out goes like this: Don't sweat it. Don't devise the meta-game to convince the players that D&D is awesoome. Instead, focus on preparing an interesting and fun game that appeals to you and to what you know of these...

It's a little ridiculous to get this worked up from a few off-hand comments by the designers. I loved Dark Sun so much that it was the ONLY setting I bought when I was a kid. I still have that box and all the supplements. And I'm thrilled to see it come back. I was at GenCon the day it was...

Try Quick Roll. I'm not familiar with the changes in Pathfinder, but Quick roll was made for 3.5 D&D.

Glad to do it...It helps me cope with my own addiction. In November or the last week in October, I will resume my reviews of iPhone apps on my own site. So, look out for an update then.
