    primordial paladin

Alternatively, you could try a paladin / warlock, Charisma primary, and reflavor your pact to be power coming from a primordial. There are also some neat feats that are only for paladin-warlocks.

The Class Compendium articles are great!

I like everything except the unnecessarily doubled flavor text for powers, which has been an unfortunate trend since Essentials. The waste of space would've been irritating for a paid product, but I guess is more or less irrelevant for a free download.

    Rule of Three: 05/16/2011

Instead of working on werewolf, maybe they can retroactively delete the vampire class from existence.

    Gondors - What's the difference?

Disappointing, wanted this: Fondor - Wookieepedia, the Star Wars Wiki

    Persistent Harrier

I'm with AbdulAlhazred. There's just no way to tell, grammatically. However it certainly isn't overpowered to let you wait for monster 4.

Can a DM expose a vampire character to sunlight with combat actions?

I wouldn't do this, mainly because the vampire class is so crappy that, if you were going to do this sort of thing, you might as well just tell the player to play a goblin minion. Just kidding. But really vampire has some low power issues.

D&D Still Satanic? "So my mom threw away all my D&D books..."

There's no evidence that it's actually led anyone down that road.

    Death, Dying and Entitlements.

Nope, not true. Risk of death is not the only penalty in-game, nor is it even the one with most emotional impact. It's just the most obviously easy and blunt one to use.

    Death, Dying and Entitlements.

I got news for you. Even with dice, and even the way you think you're playing it, the DM directly affects the outcome regardless. You ever add more monsters after battle starts? You ever present or allow players creative opportunities to beat the encounter without further violence? Heck, do you...

    Death, Dying and Entitlements.

Because thankfully, D&D is not constrained to a slippery slope of all randomness or all determinism. That's a false dichotomy.

    Death, Dying and Entitlements.

Random character death is bad for everyone in our campaigns. My players need some time to get really vested in a character. I as the DM enjoy a story continuity with characters. I really can't see the point in it. What's to stop a player from creating almost exactly the same class and race and...

D&D Still Satanic? "So my mom threw away all my D&D books..."

What?? There's no Satan in D&D? Well poop, how am I supposed to get in on some eternal damnation now??

    Powerplayers

I agree the character looks just fine, power-wise. If this character is hurting your game, your encounters may need a bit of tweaking. Ultimately of course it's your call, but in the interests of fairness you should probably take a good long look at your game knowledge and encounter building...

Learned Boost - how many targets?

If there is no Target: entry above all the Effect: verbiage, "target" has to relate back to the Target: entry in another power it's referencing. (See Refined Recall right below it.) It works exactly like the at-will it's modifying, except it being reliable with +2X damage.

    Inherent PC Superiority?

A group of people that consistently survive life-or-death battles over years would either have to be superior to others (in skill, craft, or both) or be supremely lucky. I think if you've played in a campaign where PCs make it to, say, 3rd level, you've already made the PCs noticeably superior...

Ways to Fix the Feat System in the Future

Combat options and noncombat options shouldn't be in the same design space, that's pretty much it. I like the idea above of feat vs talent.

Does resilient Focus stack with blackguard and human save bonuses?

Resilient Focus provides a bonus to saving throws. Blackguard and Humans get bonuses to non-AC defenses (Fortitude, Reflex, Will), not Saving Throws.

Ignoring the feat requirement for swapping...

You're assuming that powers across classes of a single level should all have exactly the same level of usefulness and application when swapped into your base class, and that simply isn't so. Some classes have weaker powers, due to strong class features. Others have stronger powers, due to weaker...
