    Cleric multiclassed with Cleric

But the class functions that way precisely because of the underlying monotheistic presumptions of the designers.

    Urban Arcana... in the Orient.

You really want to check out Blood and Fist. I am currently pulling together resources for a pulp game set in the Orient, and that book was one of the first.

    Cleric multiclassed with Cleric

First off, I want to say very clearly that I do not want to start any sort of religious debate. What I want to do is present certain bits of information that many folks might not know. I think that I can safely say that almost everyone reading and posting on these boards was raised in an area...

Mighty Composite Longbows, am I reading this right?

WotC however did perpetuate the error from 3.0 in claiming that a bow must be composite to be mighty. The non-composite long bows recovered from the wreck of the Marie Rose were examined and determined to have pulls of about 180 lb. I would describe that as a mighty bow. For comparison...

    Manyshot, very very confused!

Correct, you have to count the True Strike bonus in when confirming a crit. :D

    Real Life roleplaying resource books

I have Somalia. I got it to use the officer and other military classes. For that, I like it. I have no real interest in running a game in Somalia, nor in non-FX games in general. On the other hand, I think that the core book is a little light on good military classes, and I think the social...

    D&D 3.x Druids, bows, 3.5 and d20

Given the time frames involved, the kukri would have followed several centuries after the falcata. It was Republican Rome, not Imperial Rome that had to face these, whereas the Imperial British had to face kukris. The kopesh is significantly different from the falcata. (Sorry, no picture...)

    Golems and MD?

My first thought was that this was about Massive Damage. I don't have the book handy, but does it not say that golums are immune to all magics except one or two spells? I don't think that Mordenkanin's Disjunction is on the short list for any of the golum types.

    D&D 3.x Druids, bows, 3.5 and d20

There was a Celtic sword called a falcata, that had a curved blade. I would certainly allow a druid to use it, and if I were feeling lazy, I would say it has the same stats as a scimitar. Nothing to do with the Orient at all, and easily as accurate as calling a katana a masterworked bastard...

    Menace Manual and Dark Matter

With Urban Arcana and now the Menace Manual, is there any background/flavor left in the Dark Matter campaiogn sourcebook for Alternaty that have not been brought forward? It looks like I could get a copy of DM for $18, but I would be using it as a resource for d20 Modern. Basically, what I...

    1st ed ranger conversion?

Well, thank you for the link, but what I am looking for is not a prestige class, it is the 1st edition ranger class written up as a core class for 3rd edition. The Giant Hunter PrC may have to do, I haven't found anything else. The Net Book of Classes was another casualty of the hard drive...

    Talent trees

Normally, talent trees are part of basic classes, at least that's how things have been up to now... I see no reason that an advanced class couldn't have the choices that talent trees represent. Regarding the homeless "occupation" it might be more appropriate to give them a wealth bonus of -2...

    d20STL alternative

Personally, I think it would be better to bludgeon WoTC thoroughly about the head and shoulders until they recant this assinine change to the d20 license. Failing that, let's see how fast that new logo can be out on some products! (by the way, just what is this Fatal d20 that has been...

"Quality Standards" in the d20 System Guide

Quite a lot has already been said, some it valid. First, let us put the "blame" for this where it belongs. Valar and the BoEF most likely were the catalyst for this change, but the blame still must rest solely on the heads of those who performed the action, in this case WoTC. Valar did not...

    Blood and Fists: Style Suggestions

I actually prefer moderately heavy FX myself, I just can't get anyone around here to run games that way. By the way, this will be a print product, as least eventually, won't it?

    Blood and Fists: Style Suggestions

Let me expand on my previous comment a bit. If it is too far over the top, too much like a wuxia film, I'd never get to play using it. Too many of the folks I game with are into low FX modern games. As far as availability to characters, I would like to see a combination of general...

    Blood and Fists: Style Suggestions

I would have to say that if the wire-fu is too wide open, I'd never get to use it as a player! :(
