I second the vote for Halls of the High King. It's one of the coolest adventures I've read through, with lots of big action and role-playing. In the beginning alone there's a sea voyage, mysterious passengers, pirates, and a nice big cinematic fight soon after the party lands in the Moonshaes...

Pretty cool - I like those worg ideas. The beast of Bane template is one of my favorites (as Bane is one of my favorite evil gods). And speaking of Bane, I was about to go edit my original post, but I double-checked with Faiths and Pantheons, and Bane has regained strife in his portfolio...

I didn't want to hijack Blackdirge's thread, but I had a monster created from a few months ago that fit the bill perfectly. I don't have an extensive backstory fleshed out yet, but there may be one in the future. I'll be updating this thread from time to time, and feel free to post your own...

i agree with that. i've decided not to boost class hit dice.

Half-Dragon Hit Dice the half-dragon template bumps up the base creature's hit die type - i assume this also applies to hit dice gained from character classes? (i.e. rogues get a d8, fighters a d12, etc.)

are we to take into account the ECL for the half-dragon template? i think it's ECL 5, right? so for level 8, should the character be 3rd level or ignore the ECL and be 8th level? (assuming the template-ified race doesn't have an ECL of its own - human or gnome, for instance).
