Whats the 2nd most important attrib for a Bard?

I dont normally run Bards (or even Rogues), but from watching my friend run his Bard, i would say that Intelligence is definitely second for him, and his skills and bardic knowledge checks are very important to him, second only to his Charisma. But, i do hear him bemoan his total lack of Armor...

Help me pick a feat please?!

Yes, i would definitely like Empower Spell or Extend Spell, but after the baddies in the latter portions of the Temple, i guess i was leaning towards Spell Penetration because i was in a reactive mode. To be honest, i would rather take one of the above mentioned feats, or an item creation feat.

Help me pick a feat please?!

Hello, I have a cleric that just finished going through Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil, and i just acquired 15th level. I need to pick a new feat, and i cant make up my mind totally. For some background i play with a little bit of a vengeful, wrath of God type style. He is basically a...

    Size of gaming group?

My group consists of 7, a DM and 6 players, but we often have 1 or 2 people absent. That is a pain. But a bigger pain is when we get into combats (which in 3E is often!), we tend to have too much table talk and said combats last way too long. I would say overall though that i like our group...

Am I a powergamer? (or, a fine line between powergamer and being useful to the party)

I agree with others who have posted in support of the usefulness of the bard class in general. I think if you have a party of 5+ members, a Bard becomes very useful, and can shine in many ways. But alot of playing a Bard depends on being able to utilize your Charisma and Intelligence, and in...

    Min/max tricks of the players

Thanks!! I tried changing it once, but once you get typecast as a demon from the ancient world, there is no going back. The Flame of Udun, Servant of Morgoth, etc, etc....

    RtTToEE

I personally liked the flavor and style of the module, but i guess what made several of us tired of it was not the module itself, but a couple of players in our group who complained incessantly about how long the epic was taking and the constant hacking involved....so that near the end, we were...

    Min/max tricks of the players

For information on clerics of Bahamut, there is also more in the Deities and Demigods (pg. 58-59). Briefly, they must be either LG or NG, and his clerics have access to the Domains of Luck, Air, Good, and Protection. their favored weapon is claw- that's right, claw....try buying one of those...

    RtTToEE

Our party just finished the rtTOEE and it took us almost a year of real time. We were getting tired of it. Our DM played it as almost every NPC had to be hacked down, and there was very little roleplaying involved. A couple of us brought our own personal motivations into going into the temple...

    Post-Ragnarok world; anyone done this?

I am working on a homebrew setting that takes place in a post-Ragnarok cosmos. The battle of the Aesir vs. Loki and Co. has left Midgard in chaos and most of the Norse pantheon dead, lost and forgotten, or greatly reduced in power. The cosmology will be one in which Midgard, due to the death...

    Rope of Entanglement Question??!!

Thanks for the info......that pretty much confirmed my first instinct, which was that the lasher should have to make a touch attack with the Rope to start the grapple. The DM decided over the Lashers strong objections that he DID have to make an attack roll at +10 with the Rope....so all is...

    Rope of Entanglement Question??!!

The other night at our session, one of the PCs whipped out his Rope of Entanglement and tried to use it on a fellow party member who had come under the will of an evil sword. luckily, the sword was in the hands of the guy who could do the least amount of damage with it, our bard. But...
