    D&D 3.x persistent spell 3.5

Another idea would be to say persistent spell only works on spells with a duration of at least 10 minutes. It's simple, it gets rid of the most abusive spells, and it's weak enough that you could have a +4 or maybe even +3 spell-level modifier.

    Sorcerors powers for Clerics?

Purchase Complete Divine. It has 2 different spontaneous clerics as well as a spontaneous druid. Personally, I was disappointed in those classes, but YMMV.

PGtF - What happened to Cosmopolitan?

Yes, that is exactly the reason. WotC designers balance their PrCs with class requirements in mind, but it's considered unseemly to say that so they couch the class requirements as "X levels of sense motive" or "Y levels of intimidate" or even "proficiency with all martial weapons". If your...

PGtF - What happened to Cosmopolitan?

The PGtF team decided the 3.0 version of that feat broke too many prestige classes -- that's why it was revised. But the particular skills you mention aren't exactly the strongest skills in the PH, so you seem to be an unfortunate victim of others' powergaming excesses. Why not create an...

    Fixing The Paladin

Definitely, the most important thing to know is whether you think the 3.5 paladin is too weak. The paladin was balanced under the assumption that extra uses of "remove disease" are almost, but not quite, worthless. If you think the paladin is too weak and want to make him substantially better...

    Complete Divine Excerpts

I don't see that happening for the simple reason that bards can only cast 6th level spells, robbing them of 1/3 of the benefit of the feat. Also bards already have a fair assortment of attack spells and healing spells, plus the best knowledge-gathering skills in the game, leaving them no real...

    Complete Divine Excerpts

Just about anybody who takes that feat will be doing it to get the healing domain. And wisdom isn't much of an issue there because healing spell DCs don't matter. All you have to do is get to a wisdom of 19, and between stat-boosting items and stat-boosting tomes, reaching 19 by mid-levels...

Complete Divine Info Here - Scoop from RPGA

The Living Greyhawk document restricts the use of some of the Complete Divine material. Does anyone know why? Could it be there are *already* items known to be broken, even before the book is released?

    Unearthed Arcana Domain Wizards

Domain wizards are intended to be on a par with specialist wizards. The 3.5e team says specialists were much too powerful in 3e and remain too powerful in 3.5e. So it isn't surprising that you find them overpowered -- they're intended to be (unfortunately).

Why all the Second Edition Haters?

The question isn't that difficult to answer. 2e was written for one reason and one reason alone: to get rid of Gygax as PH author. It wasn't written to improve 1e mechanics (though it did improve at least a few of them), nor was it written to add flavor to the game (though a few settings...

    Player's Guide to Faerun: Buying?

Don't bet on it. From what I hear, the world of Eberron will be WotC's focus for the foreseeable future. It's "new"! It's "different"! It has "vaguely robotic characters"! What's not to like?!

FR: Players Guide to Faerun is out what do you think?

Agreed, *except* that prestige classes like the eldritch knight require the caster to level up once without any casting progression -- and implement that requirement through the verbal sleight-of-hand "proficiency with all martial weapons." The 3.5e team has said the eldritch knight is broken...

Unearthed Arcana Variant Rules - Previews and Questions

My question is, is there *finally* a paladin class for which "true good" characters (NG) are eligible?
