    Slaine RPG

Great! Thank you. I never heard of it before this book was announced. Any interesting new mechanics? In particular- the ads mentioned being able to injure your enemies with insults (or something along those lines). Could you give a light example of how that works? Thank you FD

(OT) "Soft glow of electric sex gleaming in the window"

Wouldn't the better question be- what the heck were you looking for when you stumbled upon this? :D Err.. never mind.. I doubt I want to know. FD

[OT] What is Labor day? (for Plane Sailing)

It is a ridiculous holiday that should be revoked. Take a day off to celebrate work?! FD

    Question about waking up

It depends on their characters and the campeign. Most of my campeigns require some rugged living and often camping in dangerous situations- I consider people who are used to living like that are pretty light sleepers. If I was running a more cosmopolitan campeign, then I would probably not be...

    Gods that don't fit....

Use a heavenly shoe horn! You may want to check out Piers Anthony's Incarnation of Immorality series- it runs along similar lines of what you suggest. Mortals able to assume the positions of heavenly agents- sometimes mistakenly.. and don't always fit their position. FD

    Your favorite 1st level module?

Hmm, how about a tie- Death in Freeport and/or The Longest Night Of course, my goober players pulled off a tpk in the latter, but that is not the adventure's fault. FD

    [Review]The Gamers Bag

Salutations, I just got my bag in the mail today- it is a beautiful piece of work. The stitching of the design I sent them is dead on. My only regret is we play at my house- so I don't have any where to bring it. haha. Oh well, one more reason to hit the cons. Thanks paladin and...

    Rolling characters...what's your favorite method?

Painfully hit the nail on the head. (err.. yeah..*chuckle*) We use point buy. Sure, an even playing field may not be "realistic", but it gives all players of the game an even starting point. FD

    Thoughts on Quintessential fighter

Part of adding the xp requirement is my plan to drop the wis requirement. I understand why they added it, but my games don't have that high of stats for that to be practical. FD

    Thoughts on Quintessential fighter

I don't have the book atm, but aren't the restrictions on the different rankings of each school correspond to level. IIRC, it is not as if someone could master one of the schools at 4th lvl. FD

How much art should be in an RPG book?

Salutations, I believe that unless it is of a new monster, npc, or hard to describe area/scene.. then the less internal art the better. The art is rarely going to impact my game- more text could. FD

    Pick a charity!

There are a handful of issues, but one of the big ones is that there is a perception that the UNICEF is used by the UN as an attack dog on Israel. FD

    Pick a charity!

Admin costs tends to come down to two things- it goes towards fund raising or six-figure salaries for the board members of the charity. United Way, Red Cross, Save The Children, Greenpeace- and countless others "charities" are guilty of this kind of behavior. I hold the opinion that most...

    Have gamers ever been tolerant?

Yeah, it is a lot of fun to argue- but I agree with what you say on the Usenet. And argument for the sake of an argument is pretty sad. As for the original question- there has always been who place a bit too much pride in their preferences. From races, classes, rp-style, dm-style, and even...
