I think you’re just used to that convention. There’s nothing about 18 Strength that means “very strong” without being familiar with D&D’s ability scores

A revision is always in the works on product lines like this, it’s inevitable. But Paizo was very clear that the OGL debacle forced them to adjust their publishing schedule for 2024, meaning that these books definitely were NOT planned to happen so soon until WotC’s actions in January.

Yeah, it’s amazing what kind of improvements can be made when slaughtering sacred cows like “there are two dragon families: chromatic and metallic”.

FWIW, the Monster Vault dragons weren’t immune to crowd control, they just shook any lockdown conditions automatically at the end of their turn, whereas 5E’s legendary resistance had them succeed automatically on saves before the effect even applied to them.

I’m super stoked for this adventure! I have the zine versions of it, but I’m genuinely excited to see it all stitched together and polished.
