As I wrote elsewhere, it makes more sense if you think of it as a Beta release. And although some might not like it, and it may give them a black eye, they will get to a high quality product faster by bringing it out when they did.

Those are fair complaints. It's called usability, and they have some big gaps in that regard. In fairness though, this is a pretty damn big "product". I can guarantee you they know it isn't complete. Think of it as a Beta and it makes more sense.

Excuse me? The general recommendation is to roll attack and damage at the same time to speed things up. Every group I've played with does the same thing. In fact, it's better to roll damage first for multi-target attacks, as you can apply the damage and result to each creature at the time...

Ask yourself the question "Did you roll it before you knew the result of the attack?" If the answer is yes, it is maximized. It's that simple.

Wow. That freaks me out. I will admit that page 27 makes it pretty clear that RAW = RAI in this case, but wow. I'm sure that will trip up a lot of players.

I found the feat, see edited comment above. I wasn't suggesting the feat itself excludes the ally; rather, it might be used in conjunction with other feats or powers that do so.

If you use an Opportunity Action to make a Melee Basic Attack, does that make the attack an Opportunity Attack? I ask because over on the WotC community boards they seem to think that the attack granted by the Knight feature Battle Guardian cannot be enhanced by feats that enhance Opportunity...
