    The Chronicles of Narcissist

This is the same party that ran Newt Gingrich, Michelle Bachmann, and Rick Santorum.

    Scifi/Fantasy/Horror for TV & Film

The reason for that was a dispute over money - so it stealthed in to drop for the first time as a streaming release on Netflix. It was a remarkable adaptation, and their casting was dead-on, esp. with Stormy. She was exactly as I'd pictured her.

Would you use a transporter beam?

Yes. Yes. The mind is the thing - once you can duplicate minds, 'death' ceases to have any meaning or impact. Both of them are me (for a second), it's not a 'clone' per se. In fact, I'd probably prefer that, since that way I know there won't be a transmission glitch in the broadcast. The idea...

    The United States of Europe

It could happen, but I don't really know enough about the European character to speak intelligently on it. To my mind, I think that might be happen around the time that we're moving past the idea of the bordered top-down nation-state.

Sean's Picks of the Week (0706-0710) - ENnie Award Nominees, and a Storm is Coming!

So how is Prowlers & Paragons: The Ultimate Edition different from the P&P Core Rules set? The Lakeside Games website mentions nothing about an 'Ultimate Edition'. Is this something upcoming?

Is there a comic book superhero who has never been dead?

Wolvie has a lot to do; it's not like he's at her side 24/7. In fact, she bit and turned him temporarily.

Is there a comic book superhero who has never been dead?

She's a vampire, so she's at least partly dead?

What aspect of geek culture does not resonate with you?

On the whole: LARPing and Cosplay. I see the appeal of it, and I have seen both done very, very well but it's just not something I get involved in personally. Tangentially to those: The SCA. Older computer games. I have a pretty low frustration level, so the stupidly hard stuff of the past was...

What sort of game have you seen in the past where this is the case?

Is Science Fantasy the Next Big Thing™?

I'll get on the bandwagon of saying 'what do you mean 'new'?' Science Fantasy has been around since Gamma World, and it's had it's ups and downs, but never left the scene. Star Wars, the various incarnations and ripoffs and homages of Barsoom, the implied world-jumping setting of GURPS, and...

RPG Blogs That Concentrate on World-Building

Either, but your site is pretty much what I'm looking for. Some excellent, excellent work there.

RPG Blogs That Concentrate on World-Building

Do you have a favorite world-buiding RPG site you frequent, just to make yourself feel like a miserable untalented worm? For example: Elyden: http://vorropohaiah.blogspot.com/2014/11/new-map.html Share some others!

this is what kids are watching?

Yep. You also missed the fact that there are legions of teens and adults that adore that series to death as well as the target 2-14 boys audience, to the point that it has cosplay, spinoffs, Emmy and Peabody awards, a whole industry around it.

D&D 5E (2014) Bards: How did these become a thing?

Not at all. It says something about using a modern convenience in a game, because very few players are going to bother to actually roleplay illiteracy.

    Signs You're An Aging Gamer

Convo at the table: "So this Broadcast super power only lets you transmit to TV and radio? Do people still use those? Can I transmit to cell phones or wifi spots?"

D&D 5E (2014) Dungeons and Dragons and the RPG Stigma

This reminds me of Ursula K LeGuin's essay Why Are Americans Afraid of Dragons?

    Changing Gods!

99.99999% of the time, though, the history of a deity will matter not one whit to the PC. Really, the 'swap the names' system above works just as well, and results in minimal work on your part.

Pathfinder 1E Race of snake cats for D&D. is true?

There might well be some 3rd party thing or a unique thing from an Adventure Path that looks like that. Nothing I'm aware of in Pathfinder. Closest thing I can think of is the pipefox.

    Changing Gods!

I guess I would do what worked before, in your case :) For a home-brewed world, though, I have to ask why you didn't design your own deities? Then nothing would have to change unless you might count some fundamental game rule change like the domain changes from 3.5 to 5.0 or something.
