    Guild Wars

There are missions at various parts where a character can accept a mission to enter another area, then follow the plotline from a point further along than the start.

    Guild Wars

Wandering and exploring are fine, it's the mobs that get irritating. Trying to draw just one group, or avoid this or that...

    Guild Wars

I enjoyed the new people and areas, but the constant chore of traveling to new places was too much for me, and I let it slide into the forgotten pile as Christmas Release games took over.

    Captain America returns... kinda

I think the funniest part to me (as someone who stopped reading comics long ago) is that when I read back in the day, the word was that everyone's death was always in question... "Except Bucky, Bucky is dead-dead and never coming back."

    Penny Arcade takes on DDO

See, if that was expressed as a couple of posts on a webforum, I doubt it'd be regarded as funny. Transporting it to a comic format doesn't change that for me.

    Penny Arcade takes on DDO

It's over the top, but still very boring to me. On top of that, it doesn't really seem funny on any actual humor level for me. It's just "fanboy makes grand threat" material. For the other point, I'm not sure why you pointed out that they make "at least enough to fund 2 people". You refered to...

    Penny Arcade takes on DDO

I think my response is basically because they're NOT "cult". They're widely lauded as a great webcomic, the one to beat, when they have the same style of "repeating stuff" that comedies such as Epic Movie or others in that genre, IMO. Most folks I know don't find them amusing 90% of the time...

    Penny Arcade takes on DDO

I took it as a jab at them doing anything to try to get folks to play. Except, since it's from the Penny Arcade, it's done in their dull humorless style...

    2007 Razzie Nominations

I can understand Good Luck Chuck wasn't top quality, but Alba was fine in it, Cook was bland and the supporting guy horrid. I mostly enjoyed it anyway. Chuck & Larry also, not too bad. Epic Movie was much worse than both, IMO.

Mass Effect - "the" Xbox360 title to get

I believe the original record was DLC by end of 07. I think that was before the buyout and probably invalidated, but that was the last I heard of it from last year.

    The math behind Carcassonne tiles

I just play on Live, so haven't bought the expansions, the game can be quite addictive though. (Plus the music gets stuck in my head.)

    Guild Wars

My main problem is more the running from location to location, rather than most of the quests. The swarms got a bit brutal sometimes. They had the "historical" quests from a promotion last year, and I've done two and they were enjoyable, but I've been playing other stuff over the holidays and...

    [Spoilers] Spiderman: One More Day...

I think Larson does miss that some of these plot developments were only there because they knew they'd reverse them. No need to revert Parkers identity to secret, since it never woulda been revealed, from what I understand from these threads.

    2E vs 3E: 8 Years Later. A new perspective?

There were more magic rings than that, they just weren't addressed in the narrative. (Except for the offhand "there are many rings, none to be trifled with" or whatnot.) I think part of the problem is the concept of what a magic item is. Was LotR magic light? Perhaps. Or perhaps items that...

    2E vs 3E: 8 Years Later. A new perspective?

The answer to this is very simple. If previous editions weren't balanced anyway, there's no loss in unbalancing 3e by randomly removing stuff to suit your mood. Previous editions didn't have the player recommended gp value for level, so if you made a higher level PC, you just winged it. Well...

    2E vs 3E: 8 Years Later. A new perspective?

I think a lot of it has to do with players having more influence over their character design. In previous editions, you got what magic items were rolled, and the useless ones were still worthless. Your Frost Warrior themed guy would have a Flametongue simply because the DM never rolled a...

Terminator: Sarah Conner Chronicles Episode #1

Well, SkyNet was built with the tech, but may not have known it had to do it, it's hard to say. I don't have the original and haven't watched in a long time, but from what I recall it was a last ditch effort to decapitate the resistance. Now it seems to be a revolving door portal.

Characters coming and going (your opinion)

You erred. You should never have used the truth when a lie would have sufficed. When he said "I changed my mind, exit my PC" you say "sure, no problem, stay safe" and then do what you want. :)

Terminator: Sarah Conner Chronicles Episode #1

It could have worked just as well without actually using the Conners, I think. Like T3's plot to gack others important to the Cause, they could have created another freedom fighter of some importance and gone from there. Perhaps even the original guy that was the father... Anyway, the show was...

Terminator: Sarah Conner Chronicles Episode #1

Just to be a nag, T1 wasn't about changing the future. The whole point of it was that he had to come back and such for the future to happen. It was a nice, clean little time loop. T2 ripped that apart with Paradox. Who changes the future if there's no longer a future to change? It was a totally...
