I turned the ticker off because on my machine it seemed to be opening the Java console for each copy of IE I had pointing to the site. My machine slowed down, and IE often crashed. This occured on both my desktop and laptop, running Win2000 and XP. Duncan

As much as any other reason it's probably because of bookings at the site. All the annual events will already be booked, so they'd have to take what they can get. Remember also that they would have looked at other games conventions to make sure they fitted in with them as much as possible. Duncan
