    Lucky Man

I'm not generally a fan of "me too" type posts, but since there has only been one other reply I wanted to say that I appreciated reading this post, and congratulations on writing it. I now have a new comparison for when people say "there is nothing worse than..." :-) Duncan

    Morrus vs. Morris

Hey, why do we have to keep them straight? If Morrus wants to be gay, that's up to him (and his girlfriend, I suppose). (this one's for you, Angelsboi) Duncan

So, do we have the next selection decided yet? I should finish Harry Potter 5 today, so I have a break in my reading schedule right about now. Duncan

Why does tiny Australia kick ass at the Olympics, while giant India flounders?

After ELEVEN days Australia is 2nd to the Bahamas, who have only 1 medal, a gold. THE USA has slipped to 29th place. Go to www.abs.gov.au and follow the link from there. Duncan

    The Gamer's Bag at GenCon

Congrats on making it to Gencon - I'm really glad for you. I know the bags I ordered are on the way - I wasn't expecting them for a while, so that's great too! :-) Edit: Got home from work and the bags are here - they look great! I can't wait to see them, and then to see my player's faces as...

New adventures from Wizards - policy reversal!!!

Actually, the cost of the RPGA is all an advertising expense. It's a really good idea. When they charged for membership the costs couldn't be deducted as advertising, now it is. So WotC are able to improve RPGA facilities while reducing the cost to the users. And now because it's free people...

[ENWorld Book Club] Thoughts for next book selection?

Follow the bookclub threads. Then get a copy of the book nominated and read it, then participate in the discussion. There is no actual "joining" involved. Duncan

(Shhhhh... Have all of the "Gencon" people left...?)

15 blocks - doesn't that mean the queue will end outside your door? :-) I'm in Australia, so I'm not going to Gencon this year. But plans are afoot for next year! Origins and Gencon are both in July next year, so I'm hoping to make a trip to North America to attend both (again - did it...

    [Enworld Book Club] Idlewild Discussion

Hi all, well, better late than never - the boards went down at the wrong time! :-) Anyway, I just wanted to open discussion on the most recent selection - Nick Sagan's Idlewild. I chose this book because it seemed to fulfil the requirements of the book club, and I noticed a cover line by Neil...

    RPGA: Is it any good?

I've been reasonably involved in the RPGA for a few years now - since the start of Living Greyhawk (LG) really. I no longer play LG, but I DM it a lot. And most of the time I enjoy the experience. Sometimes I get a player who annoys me. But then we don't have a huge number of people here in...

I am now officially a Phony Doctor

You didn't find ANURPS? (ANU Roleplaying Society)? It's been around since at least 1996. We started running monthly games days at the ANU with ANURPS in October 2000 IIRC. Duncan

Well, Tuggernong is an Aboriginal word. I think it's good to use the local names for areas. And, ummm... what war?

Hong, You're in Canberra??? Or were you just here for the Ceremony? If you are in Canberra, how come I haven't met you at a games day (at the ANU - next one is tomorrow ;-) Duncan
